I found one of my blogs hacked the other day. It was an acai berry blog I used some years ago and it was a wordpress.org. I don't use it anymore (for now) but when I saw it full of S***** links, so spammed the poor blog that Google had deindexed it. So, applying some security is in order.

I did this months ago. Be sure that each of the recommended plugins have been updated by the WP author or they could cause incompatibilities with other plugins.

The traffic predators use cUrl so you want to disable php functions for security. I think this is more important that plugins but you decide. Two useful articles are:

It`s astounding how the Author brags about how much dough he makes and then shares his secrets to the open competition for next to nothing.

I could be wrong, but this guy must be either in LOVE with his competition or a blatant liar. Plus the fact that he compiled a bunch of free available wp plugins instead of creating his own (or hiring an expert to create one) with his money reveal his questionable WSO offer. This guy must be a complete noob or a scammer or both.
