[GET] HOW TO PREPARE A POST TO SHARE STUFF ON BBHF

I'm glad to be of service and you're all very welcome. Thank you for posting to the thread.

I never understood how some people are reluctant to help when they can do so. It's not like we're getting paid to provide help here (unless you're a GB seller) and a forum like this one should be primarily about sharing.

I actually had a post up long ago called How I Prepare Posts to Share Stuff on BBHF but after someone here had posted my Layna's Links Letters to another site and was benefitting somehow from the download links I had researched each month, I had had enough. I then asked the mods here to start removing my shares so a lot of my previous posts were removed. My intention was to get far, far away from BBHF because the admins here seem to turn a blind eye to the kinds of people who are draining it of its assets. Quite a few people contacted me and encouraged me to stay and try to ignore the bottom feeders here. So I did.

I say all that to say I pretty much had to create this tutorial from scratch and it took me most of the day on yesterday. I wanted you to see the steps I go through to create a post. I don't expect anyone else to go to this length because I thoroughly enjoy creating a post and don't mind the time and effort it takes to make it look good.

I should still have a few posts up on how to find stuff (ex: download links to courses and products on websites, Amazon S3 and other sources). If you want to learn how easy it is to find download links, just type my username into the SEARCH POSTS field and follow some of my shares.

Then you will know both how to find downloads and what steps to take to share them.

But at the end of the day, if you're in a rush and just want to post a quick share, just type it in the text editor and hit the POST REPLY button. It will be very basic but that works, too.

Very nice share Lady Layna!

This is something that we can all use AND learn from at the same time.

One thing that I would like to mention is that in some cases it would be very nice if people were to use a SPEEL CHICHER to make sure everything is easier for others to read and understand.

AND, I am now happy to say that you have your very own hard drive for all your great posts on my computer!!

Course the way things are going I will probably have to replace it with a larger one soon.

@12days: That makes me feel real special --- my very own space on your computer. On the other hand, I'm also feeling the extreme pressure to help keep it fed!

Do you mind telling us the brand and capacity? I am getting close to having to change out my Seagate 5 TB with another external drive waiting in the wings but thinking about all those course files I have on my Mega account, I'm gonna need a much bigger drive for those transfers alone. So another purchase is on the horizon.

I forgot to say that, when inside the forum's text editor, you will not see the option to SAVE AS A DRAFT until after you've previewed the post at least once. That option is very useful. Even if you log out of BBHF, when you come back, to find the saved content you were working on, go to the User Control Panel (USER CP) where you see your username and date and time, etc. Click the USER CP and then look for SAVED POSTS ... you should see the number 1 there. Click it and you will then need to click EDIT to bring it up.

I forgot to say that and didn't want anyone to be confused looking for the option to SAVE AS DRAFT if they had not PREVIEWED the post.

Hi Layna,

The brand that I use most often, and the one that I have you on your drive is an HITACHI 3TB that I purchased from Amazon that actually came from GOHARDDRIVE.

I have purchased many drives from GOHARDDRIVE and I have never had a problem from them with anything - AND I MEAN ANYTHING that was wrong with the drive.
