@mitpapgr: In this particular share, I provided a Mediafire link so you can get the 2 books featured in the post because I assumed that (because of circumstances in your home country, etc.) some of you would not be able to get these books.

But your question is "How do I download from {{{Blocked by Omni Potens, reason: reports from LEGIT GB STARTER}}}?" when you are restricted from access by your country or service provider, for instance... right?

There are a few things you can try:

- Search for the book titles from an alternate source. You can see if the books you want appear on Library Genesis or PDF Drive or another free ebook download site. Quite a while ago, I shared a listing of free e-book download sites and to my delight, others began adding on additional sites, so that thread took on a life of its own.

I don't have the time now to search for it but it was at least a couple of years ago and it had grown to a massive size with all the additions.

Try searching the SEARCH TITLE or SEARCH POST field using keywords: free ebook sites (or something similar). You will have to weed through all the posts to find it but if/when you do, you will have a treasure trove of e-book sites you can use to find e-books whenever you need to. And, by the way, BOOKMARK that thread!

When it comes to alternative sites, there are many. Here is a list of some alternative book download sites:

IMPORTANT CAVEAT: But if the reason you're being blocked is related to copyright infringement, then most likely, you will be blocked from any alternative sites as well.

- Use a VPN: You can use a virtual privacy network or VPN to block your computer's IP address. This usually helps to bypass some restrictions and I believe it could get you past any country restrictions on sites you're not allowed to access.

Here is a link to one called Hola Free VPN Unblocker. I haven't used this myself so I can't vouch for it but take a look-see:

Be sure to read the site information because (as you can expect) FREE doesn't give you as many features as the paid alternative. But some FREE services are nearly comparable or even sometimes rival what you'd pay for, depending on your needs.

I pay for a VPN service from Avast, one of the 2 antivirus programs I use.

If Hola isn't a good fit for you, search Google for "best free VPN" and see what comes up.

I'm not familiar with this but it could help in your case if your service provider is blocking access to certain sites (but read up on it because unless you use a VPN while doing this, it could affect your contract or terms of service ... and that's not good because it could get your account banned or terminated).

So long as your request is not overwhelming, I will try to help.

But I suggest you try using a VPN (free or paid) first to see if that works.

@All: Does anyone else have advice for mitpapgr? Maybe you live in a country where a site is banned and you know how to navigate around the restriction. If so, please post your recommendations. And if anything I posted here needs to be corrected, I welcome constructive criticism.
