First, THE BAD NEWS...

Recently, FileChef seems to be offline. On another thread where I suggest using this site to find downloads, several people are posting that the churning blue wheel just spins and spins and the page never loads. Just yesterday, I tried it and got the same results. So, for whatever reason, FileChef is off-line; hopefully, it's just being updated and will come back soon. But it has been like this for some time.

The only reason I referred to Filechef is that its a search engine designed to bring up unprotected files that are ready to download directly.

But, now... for THE GOOD NEWS...

The good news is, you can use the same instructions in this thread to search for printable indexes with any ordinary search engine, like Google.

Another option is to find and download an alternative (another site similar to FileChef) or a program on your PC or Mac that does the same thing. Be as careful with the latter option as you would when downloading any file or program to your computer --- run it past Virus Total or a local scan.

You can find alternative sites that work like FileChef by searching Google with these keywords:

- FileChef alternatives
- sites like FileChef
- sites similar to FileChef

If you want a program that works like the FileChef open directory but installed on your desktop, try searching Google with these keywords:

- FileChef for PC (for Windows OS)
- FileChef for Mac (for Apple OS)

There's an old saying: Where there's a will, there's a way. So don't let FileChef's status hamstring you from searching for indexes of printables.

Use one of more of these alternative options.
