by saying you build your email list for free he means you make the money back with with the OTO or a $1 dollar trial witch is logic

he gives an autoresponder sequence but u choose how to do it yourself

Traffic methods mentioned above in other posts (personally ive been buying solos ads from fiverr lol) people on fiverr sell almost everything just search it

He also gives some examples of subject lines and body text that could get people to click on your link and recommends to add ur link about 2-3 times on the email
when someone on your list buys something from u, create a buyers list and move that email to that list
at last he recommends to make a WSO to build ur buyers list (not for newbies but could be done depending on their goals)
