Smarac's Forever Affiliate - Andrew Hansen Review Notes(updated as i go through it):

OVERALL:Best parts are about Niche&Product research,Cloaking&Tracking,Wordpress Setup.Wasn't blown away by the SEO part which consists of quality blog comments/guest posts/paid dir submission and press release/paid high pr blog posts/paid tiered links.At the end it seems he's using many paid services for SEO.His site setups are fairly simple looking and he stresses it out multiple times through the training.
Have mixed feelings,he is using simple site look with quality backlinks but that's it.No tricks/gimmicks/advanced stuffs.Will definetly try his aproach and recommend it to newbies starting out as affiliates as it is not hard to follow his instructions.

THEORY PART:

profitable offer
profitable keyword
get all traffic from those keywords

core idea = profitable keyword and profitable offer, then milk the traffic from those kw's
goal = has traffic,offer that converts,keywordw is rankable
assets = keyword + offer combination proven to be profitable

Choose Type Of Site:
Authority-longterm,difficult,longterm value is enormous,slow link buidling,higher risk when g penalty hits
Minisites-shorterm,5-15 pages of content,slow link building then speed up
Piggyback(optional)-you dont control it(free blogs,hubpages,squidoo,etc...),aggressive link building,1-5 pages of content

3 Phase System To Follow Along:
Initial Research

• search for offers and accessing/checking traffic&conversions for that offer(potential offers with kw's)
  

Asset Discovery

• testing the campaigns to see what converts(actual website deisgn/content strategy)
  

Expansion

• boost the ranking after you got a test that it converts and focus first on that which converts
  

PHASE 1:

Magic Button :

Keywords:

3000 min cumulative traffic of across top 3-5 kw's for minisites/piggyback's
1000 min cumulative traffic across top 3-5kw's for authority sites
4-5kw's min (buyers kw's)

Profitabilty:
For eg.:
8000 search traffic cumulative kw's.Assuming #1 ranking on your top 3 kw's,you get 35% of google volume
8000*35/100 = exposed to 2800 visitors per month.How many of them will click the link?
Product name kw gets lets say 30% so 2800*30/100 = 840 people will see the presale.How many of 840 will buy it ?
1in20 ~ 5%(you can also calculate low estimate 3% or high 8%) will buy it !
840*0.5/100=42 .You expect to get 42 sales in a month.Dont go for less then 1000$ revenue per month.

Competition:

Check only first 3 sites,make sure no authority(big sites)/real business site on top 3,you want videos,forums,random sites,review sites,other affiliate sites in top 3
Use Ahrefs.com, select *.domain/* ,look for reffering domains,backlink graph(how long they were building the links),external tab(check quality of links),age of domain(on whois.com)

Merchant Landing Page:
Best landing pages have:images,visualy appealing,benefits,pro design,special offer,time sensitivity,guarantee,relevance to audience

Affiliate Areas To Focus On:
Info products(clickbank)
Health(gadgets,supplements,info,machines)
Region specific(lower comp,easier to rank)
Gadgets/gizmos/tech (high price,always new things)
Making money(forex,stocks,im,home/offline businesses...)
Personal development(improving,spirituality...)

Finding Affiliate Products/Niche/Ideas:
oDigger.com (BIG NETWORK OF AFFILIATE NETWORKS)
Offervault.com(BIG NETWORK OF AFFILIATE NETWORKS):
IF you dont have any idea for niche:

• Sort by highest payout,scroll about from 5th to 10th page,look for interesting names
• Put these words into search(search one at a time): trial,exclusive,coupon,bonus,formula
• Search preferences and remove clickbank products,they flood the listings,do this for both searches

IF you already have a site/idea and niche but looking ahead:

• Search general seed kw eg. "abs",sort by payout,look for interesting/potential/popular/brand names and also multiple offers that has the same words in it,then pick that word and search it,then filter by category and at the end you can filter the networks so you get accurate offers.
• Search for offers, put the offer interesting name into adwords,then look up at offer and see whats the PRODUCT CATEGORY name and search that on adwords(you can offer product category kw's to your buyers too)
  

Google Search: product name "affiliate program" or "affiliates" to find if product has affiliate program
Join 5-10 best email/lists/newsletters/blogs of popular leaders(identify market leaders-blogs,web2.0's) in niches and see what they promote,then copy
Find leaders: pinterest(seed kw,then look),repinly(most popular and big piners),google search: top beaty(ur niche) blogs
Clickbank - advance filter put gravity min 30 and avg rebil total min 10,look for rebils and reccuring commision products
Use ukritic.com for ideas
Use globalsources.com go to category for ideas,check on adwords,put on g search for a affiliate search
Amazon affiliate:find area with likely to have high price items,find idea on amazon and then g search it for other affiliates of same product (little shallow)
Google search(for private affiliates which are self affiliate platforms using software):

• skin(your kw) "Affiliate Software by Post Affiliate Pro"
• skin(your kw) "Affiliate Software By Post iDevAffiliate"
  

PHASE 2:

Testing:

Test with PPC or FREE TRAFFIC(min content and link building required or you can invest 10$domain+30$content+30$linkbuilding+1 month time investment)
Watch for visitors in your Google Analytics,Keywords that attract them and Sales in your affiliate accounts

Technicality:

Namecheap.com for domain purchasing, .com and .org works,no dashes,enable WhoisGuard
Domain names must have part of kw in it,if clickbank product go full product name,your domain must differentiate you from the seller.

Wordpress Settings:
Thesis theme for all sites or free alternative "Simplo" theme from s5themes.com

2 column site(650x180),sidebar on right,georgia font,add shadow effect to your layout,content area 16ft font,disable show previous/next post links
6 Plugins: Akismet,XML Sitemaps(after setting it up, link to it from your site by making a txt Widget at bottom of your sidebar),Redirection,WP Sticky,WP Super
Cash,All In One Seo(If you are on Thesis theme,you dont need this plugin)
Setup Google Analytics(insert tracking code into header)

Disclosure:
Install WP Hide Post,add new post "affiliate",paste a txt with affiliate disclosure,hide it in category pages,front pages,search results,no index it,no follow it
In Widgets edit ur sitemap widget and put the affiliate disclosure url under it

Site Structure:

• Minisites: 5-15 post promoting 1 product,1 kw per article,you can use 1 article to target multiple kws,you want homepage ranking for main kw,other posts rank for other choosen kw's(its easier homepage to rank then post page),has "announcment" sticky post at top of homepage,other posts are bellow it.

• Authoritysite: pump out content continualy,mix content(product names,related,general),no sticky post just blog post homepage,use categories for each product or topic u write(categories widget in sidebar),use Widget Logic to show diff sidebars in different categories or banners depending on category and optin form where you dont promote anything

Cloaking&Tracking:

Every affiliate link needs its own link
Tracking id or sub id's for each place on your blog
Making multiple tracking url(for eg. in Clickbank) like main/sidebar/review post/ tracking url so you know what ppl clicked when they bought

Content:
Minimum 800 words,easy readable,subheadings,well laid out,short paragraphs 1-2-3 sentences max(line breaks between paras optional),neutral or journalistic tone,dont write like your selling,act as a friend talking to a friend,try maximum quality

Articles Structure:

1. Connect with reader
2. Introduce the product, why its important,where it came from,why it became popular(2-3 paras)
3. Discuss the results,what results they are supposed to get,what reasons you have to belive that,giving the supposed results ?
4. Provide customer reviews with commentaries
5. Things to watch out
6. Advice on buying,from where,at what price,comparisons,coupons,bonus,discounts,guarantee ?
7. Recommendation and reasons for it
8. End with call to action

Posts:
Post title will show in search results,use doubt,negative headlines,review oriented(not sale),permalink to have kw if the domain is general(non emd),
Big engaging image of top of the post center in middle should be across all post space,
Long articles 2-3 imgs,short articles 1 img,image on the bottom too
Subheadings(h2 or h3) as a questions in them 2-4paras,bolded,engaging
Add lists,bullets,quotes,boxes,italic
Add read more or more tag,commentary in italics ,more tag if its not the main post on front page
Call to action at the end in bold blue bigger font like "Click Here To Learn More About .... From The Official Store",but its better to put a benefit statement
like "Click Here To Begin The Path To Getting Pregnant Immediately With .... From The Safe Official Store/Website"
You can have in post image link to it in combination with sidebar
He doesnt do bolding,mentioning kw multiple times,concentrates on quality !
If your using Thesis theme you might not need All in One Seo
Title chars around 40-60
Thesis meta description - call out ppl who are searching for product and tell them that you know about them,make sure it doesnt go over 150-160char,
Shocking/Revealing words inside description work well
Meta kw's just put main kw,it isnt such as important anymore

Non Product Name Articles(general,related):
Can include videos(increase time on site),link to other sites if relevant(redirection plug to check links),try high quality
Link to other pieces of your content
At end use like "Want to take this further ?"
Articles to be informative then include a "Want to ..... in .... ?" then introduce your product,talk about reviews,popularity,successes,and how you can access it for low price

Promotion&LinkBuilding Theory(1st month):
Slowly,branded links http://www.domain.com http://www.domain.com and neutral Click Here etc... for 4-6weeks(no keyword anchor in this phase)
50 unique links most linking to root domain and little to inner pages
10mins/day to watch stats in Analytics
Set up as many campaigns as you can and prepare for month 2

Blog Commenting:
Find best quality blogs
2-3 comments a day 1-3sentence,use 2 variations of your name(this becomes your anchor txt of links),no in comment linking !
Get avatar,use ur url(not inner pages) in the url field when your applying for a comment(name,email,url field)

Blog List:
You dont need to find 50 blogs directly to your niche but a little broader/extended if you wish
Popular blogs in your niche
Google search: most popular "kw" blogs or best "kw" blogs or top "kw" blogs or best bloggers
Popularity most important - make sure they have comments,check comments hover over the names to see the links which you can use also to comment on
Check if the posts on blog are shared
Keep a spreadsheet of blog urls

Directory Submissions:
directorymaximizer.com create account and post to 1 to 2 (30$) and add every month 1-2 of those submissions

Google Analytics:
Go to Standard Reporting tab - look at traffic graph
You wana see Content tab and Overview(which pages are getting traffic),check Site Content,Site Speed(below 3 great,below 5 good),Traffic sources

PHASE 3:

Keyword anchor links not exceeding 10-15% of total link profile
Mix around some anchor links go to homepage some to innerpages
Peppering specific kw first with various sources, then when it ranks do it for other maintaining 10-15% anchor kw ratio

After achieving rank you can add weekly or monthly content to maintain
For minisite - expand into potential non product kw's,authority product kw's
Internal link to a page that ur trying to grow
Link to other authority sites
Create author account in wp,give instructions on how to post it(outsourcing)

Adding Content to low bounce rates to boost site quality:
Content that pushes visitors to other pages of your site
Kw targeted/interest targeted/no aff links/
Find interest subjects in your market,create content that pulls visitors through your site
