Hey! I'm Janis Ozolins.
For years I tried blogging and youtube, but to me, it felt like an uphill battle.
So, I decided to figure out how to represent ideas visually. After some trial and error, I was on to something. So I left my job and went full-time.
Today, my illustrations have been seen by millions of people and led me to work for Julian Shapiro, Shaan Puri, Matt D'Avella, Naval Ravikant, and others.
Despite never promoting myself as a freelancer opportunities kept rolling in more than I could handle.
On top of that, people kept asking me how I came up with these simple illustrations that drive so much engagement.

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need expensive software to participate?
No. All can be done using free software, but if you’ll prefer to use other tools, that are completely fine. You’ll learn the pros and cons of different tools. Personally, I use Figma, which is free.


“I’m not a designer and I can’t draw!”
I’m not a designer as well and you don’t need either. Most successful alumni from this course had no prior design experience. We’ll bust this myth on day one. No worries.


I work full-time. Do I have time to take this course?
Absolutely. You can absorb the core material in around 2 hours, take notes of ideas throughout the day and carve out some time for creating and submitting work for feedback. Many people with full-time jobs and other responsibilities have created consistently and built big followings.

Plus, the biggest part of the work is ideation and brainstorming. You don’t need to spend a whole day at the computer to do this.


How much access to Janis do I get?
Janis will answer all questions submitted in the community, and he’ll give tailored video feedback for the visuals you’ll submit for feedback.

If you want a consultation in more depth with Janis, than you can buy the ESSENTIAL PLUS plan. It will include two 45 minutes consultation sessions with Janis.


What I will be able to do with this knowledge?
You’ll know how to come up with lots of ideas and how to communicate them visually.
The same as good writing, you can take this skill practically anywhere.

I hardly ever do reviews and I have no contact with anyone over this.

But, after going through several of the videos, I have to say something.

This is an excellent course for people who don't know how to wed images and text in a manner that they provide impact. There are just a few principles that are easy to learn and easy to do. And there are lots of examples from different people with commentary. Did I say easy to learn?

Janis has his own visual style (he uses FIGMA and teaches you) and it's worth learning that style, but you don't need to in order to overhaul your thinking about image and word.

One problem, though. There are big watermarks in the middle of each video. They are distracting, TOO DISTRACTING, but the lessons are so good, you just grin and bear it.

I believe it is worth it to see each video more than once, to practice, and to take notes.

This is one of the good ones.
