RE:
I'd like to add my own 2 Dollars (time we passed out the 2 Cents worth). On one hand, I joined a similar site cause I heard that the developer of `ScrapeBox' was over there. I went ahead and purchased a legal copy. The price was reasonable considering the capabilities of that program.
On the other hand, I have been pleading with Videohive to provide unlimited use for the commercial version of their product. But no, they would not nudge. A new company has just come up which offers unlimited usage for anyone who purchases a commercial license. I plan to purchase that in the future. |

RE: response and critique
Quasar, thank you for the props. After a time on this forum you start to recognize the real "DUDES" from the crowd. I have read your remarks on other items and can tell you I appreciate your voice even when it get's more coarse than my own. The idea of limitations through subsequent levels of purchase is unfortunately not something the IM hucksters came up with in any manner. This is steeped in some parallels in the utility software world and other established {trade name recognition}, vendor software products. Clearly the distinction you rally about is intellectual property, creative and other wise that is or could be contested as produced in violation to terms of service that we almost all agree to in the small print we usually never read. This tacit agreement is not etched in stone. The reasons are many. The first is a reasonable expectation would exist that people would be un-informed by natural behavior and as such it could be argued that the vendors have to make the limitations explicitly known, kind of like the double op-tin for email before they could seek damages. Secondly could they ever express in any manner damages. Not so easy to do. With out that single qualifier, they {im hucksters} would almost certainly lack standing in court and would not be able to proceed once the judge vacates their claim. Certainly for an additional percentage of customers in this mix add the complication of international trade and enforcement. If it is a tough go with in the confines of the continental USA it is certainly egregiously difficult to justify pursuit of any claim internationally, since the original purchase price is usually the limit of their damage purview. What this usually means is they would have to be willing to come out of pocket for all costs associated with any legal process with out any certainty of prevailing. Knowing what we know of the vendors in this sphere I would think I would win the power ball lottery 3 times before that would happen. The only real wrench to this would be the vendor that creates separate licensing protocols that you have to sign up for and per installation create a separate serialized contract to commence. These systems are usually held in place on hosted packages. I have a couple of packages like this and they are a pain and I can see them easily tracking any activity that could represent exposure to violations of terms of service as a customer. My primary work around to all this is to make a final product then screen capture it all on a completely separate program that has no meta data attaching the final product to the vendors precious, product...regards igydog

RE:
Hey Ratzazz and Menace-to-Gurus, thanks for the ESP2 package and licensing.
It installs OK, though the first thing it says is that there is an update available. But.... it requires you to log into their site to fetch it. Do y'all have the most recent software update to ESP2 uploaded anywhere? Also, is there an updated training video for ESP2? (With the new features I'm guessing they would have recorded a new How-To?) Thanks again... -GJ |

RE: Cannot unzip
I downloaded Easy.Sketch.Pro.v2.0.MAC.BBHF.zip 375.5 MB but I get an error message when I try to unzip. It says, "Could not extract the file freebies.BBHF.setup.instructions.txt" from the archive Easy.Sketch.Pro.v2.0.MAC.BBHF.zip. The supplied password was incorrect."
It then unzips a few files, but EasySketchPro2.0.0_Mac10.7 is zero bytes. What did I do wrong? |
