Always a pleasure and a joy to pick smithnowt's brain through his insightful shares (and workarounds). You inspire me to 'think outta the box' (and just inspire me in general) and in so doing, get solutions to common problems.

I haven't tried your method outlined here yet, but will try soon and I'm sure it's good. Looks captivating and certainly workable seeing that it still works for you. Even in the event it doesn't, the validity of techniques come and go and in lieu of that reality, thanks nonetheless for sharing your time, tips and terrific resources in other threads.

JDownloader and all things Java in general are pure gold if one can get it to work for his or her benefit. Keep it up...you are certainly one of the 'generals' on this forum.

By way of explanation of...me:
Circumstances quite beyond anyone's control ~60 years ago placed me at a very young age into a very solitary condition within which most of my best friends were none other than books.

From an age when I was too young to be left alone at all by most folks' measures, I would take my huge $1 allowance and travel alone, by bus to the largest regional library whenever I could, and spend my entire day there.
(Remember the Dewey Decimal System ??)
((I memorized large parts of it...))

That all cemented not only some reference and problem solving skills, but also the ability to be self-taught - and as I matured it also became clear to me that it was best to learn via observing others rather than having to 're-invent the wheel'.

And here I am - now - just an old guy who came to realize that learning itself has been my greatest pleasure and fulfillment in this lifetime.

That is the gist of it.
The most difficult thing for most folks alive lately is to REALLY learn what learning itself actually IS - and that REAL learning changes one's life vs. what schools 'teach', which is merely rote memorizations and being able to regurgitate the same old stuff via changing and adding words - which is now considered being 'creative'.

And adding a very personal standpoint to all of the above:
ALWAYS - truly ALWAYS I seek and make use of the most direct, easiest ways to get the best results that I can find in ALL situations.

I downloaded both of them and neither can overcome megas limits. I am seriously thinking of paying for either the VPN or mega itself.

I haven't used mega at all for a while, but last time I did with JDL it worked fine.

Nowadays there is truly nothing that I need to grab enough for me to bother with mega.
