Yeah...i got a trick to boost slideshare views. It worked a few months ago...should work now too i guess

Make a video - post it on YT..get 250 views on YT from sites like vagex. Post the video on Slideshare at the end of a PDF slide!
And all the views from YT will get added to the Slideshare post!

Just tried that and you can't do that (anymore?), Vagex doesn't accept other links then youtube

Tried it, views are not being counted at slideshare

Here is the exact method...i forgot some details but i found the thread where i told this guy about it and he posted it on a forum:
Notice that it is important to have views and let some time to pass...just read below:

2. Sent 500 views to that youtube video from enhanceviews.
3. About 8 hours later (YT video had about 300 views), i uploaded the slideshow to slideshare (8 slides)

5. One hour later the slidehsow had 100 views. In 3 hours it got more than 300 views.
6. Haven't done any pinging or anything.

I tried this exact thing with another slideshow the second day. Again with embeded video and nothing happened. BUT - the second video had no views at the time when i embeded it.

Important thing i noticed:
Youtube video must have more than or about 300 views.

The niche was Forex. I created the second slideshow as identical to first one as possible, just to test out. And it did not get any views for several days.
So it must have been the youtube views count that were transferred some how to slidehsare.

Did not test this again, as i had no time. If anyone has same results, post back so we all know it works as i thought it does.

PS. I still have the email that slideshare sent me one hour and 7 minutes later saying: Bla Bla. You got 100 views, you must be doing something right!

PPS: Due to those 300 views happening that fast my slide was mentioned in: Slide of the day and Most viewed/Most popular

PPPS: The exact search on google for the title of that slideshow returns 140 results...WOW...Just noticed that myself!

This is just another method for driving traffic or ranking something really fast to impress a potential client. I don't try to convert anything on the site itself. Your better off to send your traffic to a landing page. Your conversions will be a lot higher that way. The less the competition, the better the method will work. I have ranked in the first spot on page one in less than 10 minutes. Not to long ago I remember getting something indexed period in less than 10 minutes was pretty good. This is not an end all, cure all method. It is just another tool for driving traffic for free and it seems to get faster results than youtube. Try using them both together and you can land two, three, and we have even had four spots on the first page in a day. I don't care who you are, that is still a pretty impressive feat these days.
