Perhaps I’m pushing it a bit by saying this, but if you don’t have the learning capacity or the hefty budget then GIMP is for you. Although a great piece of software it’s still a rather large application and won’t do many of the tasks our desktop applications have been designed to do. Note that Gimp has been included purely as a resource as many of our customers may not be aware of Gimp.

And OP, don't worry man! H.ell, you found or bought and posted this for everyone's benefit. There is never any need to feel bad about doing that!

It is NOT your fault the product sucks! So keep posting - I appreciate it and other members do too.

I don't usually add to a review, but this is important. If you haven't seen what is going on here from a marketing perspective, you need to take a closer look.

This approach is being taken by numerous product creators now. Whether you love it or hate it depends on whether you are on the sales side or the buyer/user side of the transactions.

This is what's going on:

The marketing and development plan - from the outset - is designed to do a great job of painting a huge and impressive picture of a solution or set of solutions. They WANT you to think this is an integrated app and that ALL the parts work well either individually or together as a suite.

But what is actually going on is this: One or two will be decent components - and the others will su.ck!

They don't care about 14 pieces that all work well - that isn't the plan. So they develop one - maybe two - parts of this "integrated" solution that isn't so integrated and isn't so useful. The rest of the apps can be programmed junk.

They won't work worth a s.hit. But here's the deal:

They hope you will fall in love with one of the two apps and want to keep all the rest of the bullshit that either doesn't work or is crippled. They hope to stop or slow the flood of refunds by giving you one app you might love!

If you think about this, from the sales, marketing and development side, it is insidiously clever and d.amn near genius!

From the buyer/user side, you are getting f*cked! You are being sold multiple apps, paying for them, but you are only really getting maybe one or two decent ones. It's all about money and sales - build one acceptable product and the rest can be c.rap, and this doesn't just apply to software. LOTS - ANY products that have been and will be created with this design process have/will be sold.

I wanted to add this because some of you aren't as aware about sales and marketing practices as some of the other members here. Since copywriting, sales and marketing consulting are still my #1 gigs, I wanted to let you in on this.

I don't condone this practice and WILL NOT produce a mechanism with this intent. I understand it well, and am seeing this used more often all the time - mostly by clowns that really don't give a sh.it about anything but making fast money quickly.

I could do this and it would work amazingly well, but I prefer to sleep at night and this just isn't my style. This is kind of like writing a lousy book. You write a great chapter one - you have people on the edge of their seats - but all the other chapters su.ck!

So, look for this! I am seeing lots of guys doing this in greater numbers. It has always been done to one degree or another, but lots of lightweights have caught on to making sales and money this way.

Let's face it - why build 5, 10, or 15 solid app components when all you need to do is create one decent one and lots of sh-itty ones? It is lots cheaper - you can romanticize the hell out of the sales copy and products - and build an awesome sales funnel.

It all works great except the buyers - you - are getting f*cked!

Keep your eyes open and apply the use of gray matter even more about the stuff you want to buy or use!
