@jnld: I wanted to post a link to a site where you can directly download this e-book because most likely, you'll find it there. The site is: B(dash)OK(dot)cc but I cannot reach the site now and haven't been able to for almost a week. Since I now know there is a problem at that site (with its servers), you won't be able to reach the site for now, either.

I ended up checking my Kindle book downloads and found it there. The download includes both the Kindle (AZW) and converted PDF formats.

@All: Originally, it looked like BBHF was blocking all links that go to this e-book site. Many of my past shares point to that site, so I've got people posting for re-ups ... nobody, it seems, is aware of the problem. Furthermore, it appears that this isn't a BBHF problem, so they are not the culprit.

Moments ago, I searched online to see if that site was actually down or if it was just my aging and over-worked computer because the browser just spins it wheels for a long time, only to report the site cannot be reached.

Here's my search:

As you can see, I clicked the 3rd link in the results and here is the message I got (follow the red arrow and read the small-print text there):

The site has been down for more than 30 days!

So, at worst --- it seems we may have lost this gigantic e-book resource (even if only temporarily) due to one or more DCMA claims or worse (lawsuits); or (wishful thinking) it could just be that the site is down for extended maintenance.

I'm thinking that more than 30 days off-line isn't normal for an active and thriving website.

Something's just not right.

As for those links from that site getting BLOCKED here on BBHF, it looks like I was mistaken. I assumed that a GB seller had actually complained about an e-book (which is a strange excuse for blocking an entire e-book download site with tens of thousands of titles!) and got the entire site blacklisted here.

I just did a test and tried to post a link to a site called Is It Down or Just Me? It's another site that tells you whether a site you're trying to reach (but cannot) is working okay for everyone else. And since my search query was about the B(dash)OK site, that name was also in the site link. Well, as you might guess, that link got blocked on BBHF and again, the error message said that a GB seller had complained.

So, I'm thinking the wording for that error message is just the forum's DEFAULT go-to for any link that isn't allowed; whether it is a link that is an actual violation of forum rules or in this case, there is a problem with the server-side of the website being linked-to.

I just wanted to update you on what I found out.

Anyway, thank you for enduring that long-winded explanation but I felt it was important to share. If you can't reach the site, now you know...

LAYNA'S NOTE: Also, this share was originally posted in July of 2018 and many people "kindly thanked and repped" CharlieBrown for it. Some even talk about how valuable the share is. Probably 100x that many people (I'm sorry --- lurkers and leeches) Viewed the share ... yet not a single being mirrored it.

This says that nobody gave a hoot whether anyone else who came along later could get this.

How's that for community spirit?
