Yes I agree, but (I hate the word but too lol, guess why), you can target affiliates straight away, and get a buyers list, do not wait for them to come, go to them.

Let me explain, there is a product here (my review about it),

1)the guy created a product (ebook of 20$), tried hard to build a list with a free lead magnet, used fb ads, not much traffic, and sales.
2)Then he switched to directly selling his product by fb ads (no free lead magnet anymore), he got some sales.
Then
3)He switched to advertising to affiliates by fb ads, guess the results, his sales exploded.

So even if you do not have a list or are unknown, there are ways to get list of buyers straight away,
Do not forget, there are many groups of affiliates everywhere, most of them want to gain fast, and many affiliate platforms, so slowly you'll get traffic that will turn into buyers straight away.

Example:
You have a good product or service.
You install an affiliate system (on wp or else).
You just post on your social media without ads.
If like most of us, you have 250 or 300 contacts on every media, there will definitely be few who'll want a quick buck.

Now it depends ON THE QUALITY OF YOUR PRODUCT and on how much money you give to affiliates (if ebook give 100% upfront, even if you do not make a cent, it's ok because you'll have a buyers list that you can upsell to), if a service 25% or so, test, try and persist. do not just post once and stop.

If there are websites where people click to gain few cents, there are for sure people out there that will share and promote for few bucks, I'm thinking about websites like clixsense etc.
Brainstorm, mix few techniques. try. test, to resume, act.

What crap...PP will always rule in your favour as a buyer because these guys have a clear 30 day refund policy...I hate the way they think they can bully newcomers into not getting their money back! that quote above screams CROOK!
