should be:
Start\File Explorer\This PC\Local Disk C:\ProgramData\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio 8\

Installed perfectly. Worked for a day and then I got the message that it detected something wrong with my validation. Anything I can do? I am uninstalling it right now.

This is what happened to me only my install was for barely a full day.

Hi everybody, I had a problem with Camtasia after upgrading to W10. Works now, here is the solution.

Magic Button :

I was running Camtasia 8.4 flawlessly on W7 but after the upgrade to w10 it went bad.

Anyway tracked down the problem to the host file, this is what it read,

127.0.0.1 activation.cloud.techsmith.ocm
127.0.0.1 oscount.techsmith.com

I had to uninstall camtasia 8.4, reboot the machine after editing the host file to this.

127.0.0.1 activation.cloud.techsmith.com
127.0.0.1 oscount.techsmith.com

Then simply downloaded the lastest version 8.6

Put any name and use one of these rego's
2ACHS-FCFCC-4L9CM-CCJDC-MCCRD
HACD4-FCBCD-A33CH-CCEEC-YAFC6

These regos are generated via keygen. You don't need a keygen, I run it in sandboxie, keep everybody safe.


They are blocked from validating by the host file you edited earlier.
Anyway run the program once, it will complain but let you use it.
Then connect the internet and run again, no nag message.

Oh yeah remember to edit the host file as admin.
I used this method for a number of years.

There is also a video in which you can simply "how to reset the trail of camasia studio 8 for ever", search on Yourtube, its by an indian. Its a simple windows registry edit where you delete a few entries to reset the time.

Just like giving back.

Everything works Great now and I'm having no more problems
with Camtasia kicking me off

Just follow inquisitor instructions and you should be fine.
Ohh I'm running windows 10
