[GET] Camtasia 9 with serial key

Windows update shouldn't have anything to do with Techsmith. If you aren't finding the RegInfo.ini in C:\ProgramData\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio 9\, then I believe you might have another problem.

If I was in your situation, I would create a RegInfo.ini in C:\ProgramData\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio 9\ directory and paste below into the file

ValidationData3=1
RegistrationKey=LCM45ELCMR4DQACCC5KKKM553
RegisteredTo=home
ValidationData1=W4oB%a-;HHB[=H9>
ValidationData2=1

Once you do that, then all you need to do is right click on the file, go to properties, and make sure you select Read-Only is selected.

If you still have the issues, do a reinstall and make sure C:\ProgramData\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio 9\ is delete. Once you reinstall, then make sure you change the RegInfo.ini to read-only. This isn't rocket science.

Okay,

I used Iobit uninstaller and cleaned everything I could related to Camtasia (as per inquisitor instructions elsewhere) ;)

downloaded camtasia from their site*

Reainstalled

Couldn't see Reginfo.ini file despite setting folders to view hidden files.

Came up with "enjoy your trial" and could only produce vids with a watermark! ;(

2 thoughts. When I downloaded from the site it also said you can download from here or we can send you an email to: my email. They must be able to detect my ip re past downloads where I signed up for a trial or something? and if so..then that gets embedded in the download?

does that make any sense?

2. I do have a few registration keys...including the one in the reginfo file you provided above...but if I enter it and I'm disconnected it can't verify obviously...

Further thoughts....

So I went to Camtaisa via a proxy so there wasn't any identifier attached to the download (if that's even even possible)

There's a place to download if you already have a key...so I went there and it says...

"*Content will be created with watermark during the trial period. Videos exported after purchase will not be watermarked."

I'm wondering if the newer download is different than the older camtasia downloads?

I did get this to work in the past...used it for quite a while...then something messed up.

Obviously you can't input the registration key when it's offline...it can't validate...so what's the proper sequence for going offline, installing, registering, changing reginfo file, etc etc?

I've just installed the very latest version of Camtasia (v9.1.1 [Build 2546]) on my brand new hard drive using the instructions and downloadable files that are available in my old Pdf manual and everything is working just fine..

Download the latest Camtasia from the link below and then download the 'hosts' entries file and the RegInfo.ini file details from within the manual, and simply follow along with all the rest of my instructions in the manual..

Okay.

I'm a freakin idiot.

I think I uninstalled Camtasia 5 times...completely. Meaning I was following Inquisitor's video and using Iobit Uninstaller then manually cleaning up all the tidbits from deep in the folder hierarchy.

Reinstalled just as many times. Poured over Saunders and Inquisitor and Scorpio directions making sure I was doing everything just right.

I created my own reginfo.ini file and installed it and made it "read only"...(on Saunders suggestion after I revealed that I could NOT see .ini files even though I had the proper "checks" in place to view hidden files)

I even searched multiple times on Google for solutions as to why my hidden files weren't showing. Some solutions involved running commands at the DOS prompt (which I know nothing about)...

I spent waaay too much time on this. And wasted waay too much of everyone else's time reading my posts...unless someone, just one person, can learn from my mistakes.

I was ready to buy the program...or download and try it on my wife's computer.

Saunders, the gentleman that he is, gave me valuable time and attempted to help via pm.

You know how you keep doing the same thing and "think" you are doing it right? Not giving full conscious attention to each detail even though you think you are?

Well it hit me...like a ton of bricks.

Couldn't find it. Dozens of times.
