The ZIP file you downloaded includes:

1. “autocon.zip” contains the original script which will be uploaded as a fresh script in the server.
2. Full documentation and quick start guide also included as zip

Did you open and read the full documentation ZIP file?.
The instructions a very straight forward...

Maybe you should completely remove everything and make a fresh start.
I installed this theme on 3 different sites without any issues.
You must be skipping something in the installation process...
