Are you sure that it is because of the site itself and not because of your other activities regarding linking?

Good question, and thanks, normally would be looking at external factors (off-site) as well as onsite, but had not reached the point yet of actually doing _any_ SEO, was still waiting on brief from site owners what they wanted. All I had done, was provide proper Contact page (the coolice one on that theme is just a mail link, think google prefers more details incl physical address) and updated Privacy Statement with cookie policy etc; plus more detailed TOS /Disclaimer -usual legal stuff, plus put half a dozen original 400 word articles in blog section. Other coolice themed sites we have are currently unaffected, but thinking about it, this was the only one running on a domain in the main install directory, the others are in subdirectories from root, mainly due to the coolice locked down menus. So that may have triggered it. Live and learn as they say.

Thanks for the heads up. Not good news at all And it seems clear they are talking about content related issues, not linking. My guess is that there is no original content whatsoever, it is 100% imported and that is the problem. But that is only a guess.
