Tutorial on a Clean Install
Recommended server: Apache + PHP 5.6/PHP7 (it should also work with HHVM) + MariaDB/MySQL.
PHP 7/HHVM is highly recommended.
You are going to require further configuration if you wish to use NGINX as your web server.
NGINX users should take a look at this page and use these rewrite rules: https://help.activec...stallation.html
Make sure that you configure your server (PHP.ini file) according to the followings:
- "max_execution_time=300" (300 secs, be advised that without changing it PHP/HHVM will most likely throw an error upon executing the "License Verification" section).
- you should comply with the requirements of ActiveCollab
PHP7 (check your PHP.ini file):
comment out (remove the ";" at the beginning of the line) so you should have "extension=php_imap.dll"
zlib.output_compression should be "On", like "zlib.output_compression=On"

1. Create your new MySQL user and database.
2. Enter the URL and the path of ActiveCollab (the root path).
3. Proceed to "License Verification".
4. Under "License Verification" you should see "ad@ad.ad" as the email address and "121212" as the password. Check the checkbox and click on install.
5. The installation should take approx. 1-2 minutes depending on your server hardware.
6. You should see the login screen, log in with "ad@ad.ad" as the email address and "121212" as the password.
7. Invite a new Owner using your real email address and a strong password.
8. Copy the invitation link. Log out. And paste the link into your browser. Register your new account.
9. Go into your database by using PhpMyAdmin and open the "users" table. There you should see a line containing the "ad@ad.ad" email address. Delete that line.
10. Enjoy the software. And if you are a business consider buying it and supporting the developers! ;)

If you installation was not successful, please proceed by reading your PHP error log/HVHM error log (/var/log/hhvm).

Thank you for sharing this. I am able to install this and most of the things are working but the biggest chalange that cron job and email is not working.

I have cron job setup on server fine and also showing in result as well but AC is not showing this and always there is a messages to fix this.

Please help.

Installation was successful, but I'm wondering if the email/cron job function work with this null? I can get the SMTP working, but the IMAP keeps delivering an error. Added the Cron Jobs, but the install doesn't seem to recognize them. Thoughts? Thanks!
