I agree be proud of your identity and culture, but do not be defined by it - be an individual and citizen of the world.
If humanity could discard the outdated mentality of group identity we could take some huge strides forward to a more peaceful existence. Individualism will set the world free as we slowly break out from the influence of those who seek to divide the world into groups and set them against each other. Let us spread peace not just on religious/traditional festivals - but every day of our lives and let us be united by our desire to learn, grow and progress not be divided by ignorance and stupidity - let us seek to find those who we a kindred spirits and learn and build together. In 1914 during World War 1 both British and German Soldiers stepped out into "No Mans Land" to celebrate the best they could during a Christmas Truce. Celebrations like this occurred all along the front lines where they played soccer/football introduced their families via pictures shared smokes and shared joy during a bad time in life. Remember however you celebrate it or however you say it.
