[GET] 80 Great Ways to Make More Money in 2018
[Image: Pile_of_Money.jpg]

How many times have you thought to yourself, “I could really use some extra cash”? Whether you’re in a short-term financial bind or you just want to save up for something big, there are many ways to make money over and above working your day job.

I was able to pay off $52,000 of debt in 18 months using some of the ideas in this article including this website which now makes over $6,000 per month.

Here are 80+ ways you can make some more money to fund whatever it is you want to accomplish.

Make Money by Using Your Skills
Everyone has at least one skill that they could earn money with. What is yours? To help you figure out what skill you can take to the bank, here are a variety for you to consider and pick from.

1. Freelance writing
If you like to write and would like to make money in your pajamas, then freelance writing could be a good fit. You can get paid to write an article for a business or a publication. I have personally written for Investopedia, Clark Howard, US News and World Report and more.

Pay can vary, but I have made anywhere between $35 to $500 for a piece of content. How much you are paid depends on your experience and the length of the article.

Sites like Upwork or Contently can help you connect with clients who are looking for written content. You have to create a profile and writing samples.

2. Take online surveys
Taking surveys in your spare time can be a great way to earn some extra dough. While there are tons of online survey opportunities, one of the most reputable companies is Survey Junkie.

With surveys, you can start making money as soon as today. The cool thing about Survey Junkie is that you can sign up for more than just one company, this way you can have a constant flow of opportunities to fill out surveys in your downtime.

3. Peer to Peer Lending
Nowadays it is easy to help out others who need money and get a return on the money at the same time. Lending Club is a platform where 99.9% of investors have seen positive returns and may be a good place to start.

4. Get cash back on items you buy every day
Did you know that you can get cash back for items that you already intend on buying? Ebates will pay you cash when you do your shopping through their sites.

The trick is, only buy products you’d normally buy anyway and not buy things just because they’re on sale. Otherwise, you spend money on things that you don’t necessarily need, and the goal of signing up with them is to make more money, not spend more.

You can also use another free app called Paribus, which is a price-tracking app that will automatically negotiate a refund if something you purchased goes on sale.

5. Drive others around
Companies such as Uber or Lyft will pay you to drive others around in your spare time. Rates of pay depend on how many miles traveled, the type of vehicle you drive and so forth.

This is a great option if you need a side gig that has flexible hours as you could easily do this on the nights and weekends along with a full-time job.

Right now Lyft is actually offering a $250 sign up bonus.

6. Affiliate marketing
Affiliate marketing is where you get paid for referring others to products or services. Companies such as Amazon pay decent money when visitors to your website click on your links and when they purchase products, you get paid.

If you want to increase your affiliate income, my friend Michelle who earns over $100,000/month, created a course called Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing that you may want to check out.

7. Mend/press clothing
If you have the ability to mend, alter or press clothing, consider offering your skills as a tailor. Tailor work and small-scale pressing (ironing) can easily be done out of your home and is a much-needed service for busy people.

In today’s world, skills such as mending and alterations simply aren’t taught. It means that if you have a knack for sewing, you also have a valuable, money-making skill on your hands.

If you have no skills in this area, but you’re interested, check out The Sewing Bible for Clothes Alterations: A Step-by-step practical guide on how to alter clothes.

8. Design your own t-shirts
If you are creative and like to design things, then this may be a great fit for you. Check out a site called CafePress which will publish t-shirt designs that you create, and then give you a percentage of the profits when your design is purchased by a customer.

9. Write, publish and sell an e-book
Looking for a good way to earn some passive income? Write and publish an e-book on Amazon or even self-publish on your own by creating a downloadable PDF. Start by choosing a topic you’re familiar with. For example, it can be an educational resource, a how-to guide, or fictional stories.

The Internet is full of articles on how to write and publish an e-book for a very little up-front cost. Make sure to educate yourself on the ins and outs of this lucrative industry.

10. Create an online course
Do you have knowledge in a specific area that you could charge others to learn about? For instance, I have a friend who likes to build tables, and he makes six figures teaching others how to build tables through videos online.

11. Flip merchandise
Are you skilled at recognizing a good deal when you see one? Then consider buying merchandise to resell on eBay or other sites like Amazon. Garage sales and thrift stores are full of obscure items that people don’t know are valuable and are selling for much less than what they’re worth.

Take advantage of these amazing deals and use them to earn some money by reselling the items online.

12. Start a handyman business
If you’re a do-it-yourselfer, consider using your skills to help others who need handyman work done. Many people gladly pay good money for someone to take care of their smaller home repairs and maintenance tasks.

You can even create a profile on Amazon Services to help you get customers in your area.

13. Teach exercise classes
Are you interested in getting paid to stay in shape? If you are interested in classes like yoga, Zumba, Crossfit, Kettlebell or any other type of exercise, consider offering your services at the local gym or through a community education class.

It doesn’t take long to get certified to teach in these areas.

14. Become a photographer
If you own a decent camera and like photography, consider offering your photography skills for weddings, families, high school graduations and proms. A good picture is worth a thousand words, and worth a lot of money as well.

A growing photography niche is pet portraits, so if you like photography and animals, know that pet owners are paying a premium for you to take a picture of Fido.

Do you like being around kids? Consider offering babysitting/nanny services. Many families are offering good pay for quality care for their children. 16. Become a caricature artist or face painting artist
Corporate and sporting events often seek the services of a good caricature or face painting artist. If you have skills in either of these areas, seek out jobs at corporate events or contact your local sports stadium to inquire about job needs in this area.

Also check out places like farmers markets, fairs, and other local events.

17. Sing at weddings or other events

18. Offer your car maintenance or mechanic services
Mechanic services can be unbearably expensive. If you have a gift for car maintenance or repair, consider starting a car maintenance repair business that goes to the customer’s home garage.

Without the overhead of having your own car repair garage, it is likely that your profit will be higher and the customer will appreciate the personalized service.

19. Perform as a musician
There are many opportunities to get paid as a musician. Weddings, summer festivals, and other events will pay good money for musical skills. Street musicians – where allowed – can also earn some decent cash if they provide entertaining tunes for passers-by.

While not everyone will make millions as a musician, it can be a decent way to make money on the side.

20. Capture video for special events
Birthday parties, anniversary parties, and wedding receptions are all great venues for you to show off your video producing/editing skills. If you have a decent video camera or a knack for putting pictures together into videos, advertise your services to party planners and families everywhere.

A well-produced video can make the difference between a good party and a great party. It can also be a great way to capture people memories so they can revisit them at a future date.

There is even some free video editing software out there, so if you already have a good camera, start-up costs can be low.

21. Teach music lessons
Do you play a musical instrument? Teach your skill to others wanting to learn how to play the instrument you specialize in. You can market your services by putting up a flyer at a community college or even a nearby coffee shop.

Typically you can charge around $25 per 30-minute session, but this can depend on the area you live in.

22. Sell crafts
If you like to make things with your hands, then this might be up your alley. There is a website called Etsy that is a good place to sell those handmade crafts you’re so good at making.

My wife likes to buy all sorts of things on Etsy, from customized stickers, shirts, etc.

This really is a great way to make physical products that are unique and get them in front of an audience that is looking for these types of products.

23. Teach nutrition classes
If you’re educated in eating well, consider teaching nutrition classes, either at your local community education center or a retirement home or school.

25. Offer graphic design services
Those skilled in graphic design should consider offering their services to local small businesses. Smaller businesses often can’t afford to pay a big graphic design company to create attractive ads or websites and are happy to use a smaller, local designer who can do the job well.

Check out 99 Designs for opportunities to get paid for graphic designs this week.

Blog owners often hire blog managers to keep track of and manage every aspect of their blogs while they tend to other responsibilities.

46. Help companies manage their social media outlets
Many companies are looking for marketing experts to help them manage their social media accounts. You don’t necessarily need a marketing degree to be a great social media manager; simply a clear understanding of how the social media world thrives.

Earn Some Extra Cash by Filling a Need
People are willing to pay to make their lives easier. Chances are you can help solve someone’s problem and get paid money in the process. Here are some ways that you can earn money by helping to fill a need.

47. Rent out your car
How much time would you say that your car just sits there not being used? Probably at least half of the day, right? Did you know you can actually rent out your car to others with the potential to make over 600 per month?

Check out a service called Turo that makes all this possible. It’s free, and you’re protected with $1 million in liability insurance.

48. Clean offices/small office buildings
Many small business owners could manage to clean their offices themselves but don’t have the time to do it. Consider approaching small business owners to inquire about filling their office cleaning needs.

49. Offer personal shopping services
Personal shopping can consist of anything from buying clothing, groceries, or even personal items that need the touch of a savvy shopper.

Busy men and women could often use the help of a personal shopper to help them keep on top of their shopping needs.

50. Paint houses
If you like to paint and are good at it, consider offering your services to paint the interiors and/or exteriors of homes. When I was a teenager, my single mom and I worked together to paint apartments for a real estate owner who owned a couple of small apartment buildings.

It was peaceful work, and it paid well.

51. Clean windows
Cleaning windows is another job that people will gladly pay someone else to do. A squeegee, a bucket, a rag, a good window cleaner and a great technique will produce results that will keep customers calling you again and again for your window cleaning services.

52. Offer house-sitting services
People going on vacation or those who frequently travel for work are often in need of a responsible house-sitter. If you have the ability to be away from your home for several days at a time, this might be a great side hustle for you that requires very little work.

53. Provide yard work services
You can do anything from mowing the lawn to shoveling, to raking to minor landscaping. One look around your neighborhood will likely show you that there are many clients who’d love to pay someone to help them with the lawn.

54. Rent out a room in your home
Have an extra bedroom in your home that doesn’t get used? Consider renting out your extra room on Airbnb. Single people who aren’t home a lot often look for rental opportunities in homes where all they need is a place to sleep. Putting that spare bedroom to use to can earn you a few hundred extra dollars each month.

Be sure to screen clients carefully though, or work through word-of-mouth before you pick your tenant.

55. Start a pet sitting/walking business
Pet owners who aren’t home often or simply don’t like the thought of their beloved “Fluffy” being home alone so long each day often will pay for a quality pet walking or pet sitting service. To gain clients for this fun and entertaining business, advertise at pet stores or veterinarian offices.

56. Clean houses
Find busy friends or family members who might want help with cleaning their homes on a weekly basis. People often pay good money to have some help with basic chores such as dusting and vacuuming.

57. Rent out your parking space
Have a coveted parking space you don’t use? Consider renting it out. Sites such as Just Park will list your parking space as well as the price you’re asking for it so that needy drivers can have a place to park near their work or home.

58. Sell your college notes
Companies such as Flash Notes will help you sell your college notes, flashcards or video tutorial sessions online to other college students. If you’re good at taking notes, share your gift with other students by selling your class notes.

Make Money on the Nights and Weekends
Do you work a traditional 9 to 5 job and need to earn money outside of those hours? Then these ideas are just for you.

59. Become a mystery shopper
If you’re detail oriented and recognize good service when you see it, look into becoming a mystery shopper. Legit mystery shopping companies pay well for a mystery shopper’s feedback.

This is a good way to get paid for doing stuff you already do like going to retail stores and restaurants.

60. Collect and sell scrap metal
Scrap metal recyclers often pay good cash for scrap metal, and busy homeowners are often looking for someone to take scrap metal such as old washers and dryers off of their hands.

If you have a truck or trailer and some extra time on your hands, look for people eager to get rid of scrap metal (check Craigslist) and deliver to the nearest recycling plant for some quick cash.

61. Sell plasma
College students have been making money for years by selling their plasma to local plasma banks. It’s a relaxing job (if you can handle the sight of needles) and can provide a little bit of income on a regular basis.

62. Start a club
Many people want to get fit but are intimidated by the thought of starting on their own. By forming a hiking or other exercising club, you can provide a need for people, earn money and get fit, all at the same time.

63. Sell your stuff
Got too much stuff? Use your nights to clean out your closets and your weekends to sell your unwanted items at garage sales. Spring, summer, and fall are usually garage-sale-mania in most communities, so take advantage of the opportunity and provide items for deal-seeking shoppers.

Don’t want to wait until nice weather to sell your stuff? You can still sell it online via Decluttr or Letgo.

64. Distribute flyers for local companies
Many local companies, such as newspaper and service companies, are looking for trustworthy individuals to deliver flyers and papers for them.

Look for ads in local papers and on Craigslist to find jobs in this genre.

65. Pick up a paper route
The old-fashioned paper route still provides income for thousands of people each and every week. If you’re looking for a quiet, simple job to perform during early morning hours, a paper route job might be for you.

66. Find a job as a valet
High-end restaurants and clubs often seek out trustworthy drivers to perform valet services for clients. If you are a responsible driver and like to drive, consider working as a valet.

67. Deliver pizzas
Many people have gotten out of debt or reached other financial goals by delivering pizzas. The hourly wage (plus tips for great service) can add up to big bucks if you stick with it.

Earn Money by Living a Simpler Life
This might sound strange, but if you make different life choices, chances are that you can save hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars each month. Here are several ways that you can make your life simpler and earn some extra coin in the process.

68. Sell your car
Can you trade your car in for a cheaper model, or do without a car altogether by walking or using public transportation? If so, selling your car for some fast cash in your pocket may be the way to go.

69. Downsize your housing
Can you make do with a smaller room, apartment or house? If so, see if you can find cheaper housing to cut down on housing costs. If you have your own apartment, switch to a 2-bedroom and get a roommate.

Perhaps you could trade in your big house for something smaller.

70. Sell your gold or other jewelry
Selling that gold or other jewelry that you really don’t need (or maybe even want) may put some fast cash in your pocket.

Pawn shops or jewelry shops will often buy your fine jewelry from you.

71. Sell clothing you no longer wear at a garage sale, on eBay or on consignment
Do you have a closet overflowing with clothes and shoes? Consider a minimalist approach and scale down your wardrobe, selling the items you no longer want at a garage sale or a consignment shop.

72. Clean out your garage/storage area and sell your stuff
How many hundreds (or thousands) of dollars of stuff do you have sitting in your garage or storage attic waiting for “someday”? You might think it’s worthless junk, but as the old saying goes, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

See what you can find in your attic or garage that might do somebody else some good and sell it for a great price.

Earn Money by Doing Something Different
Tired of the same old side gigs? Well, don’t leave just yet. Here are some awesome ways that you can get a decent side income and do something a little, let’s say, different.

73. Be an extra in a movie
It’s not always the most glamorous job (pay is fair, hours can be long) but being an extra in a movie can provide some extra money in a different and interesting way.

If you’re interested in that Hollywood experience for a day, look for opportunities to be a movie extra.

74. Participate in research studies
From medical studies to food studies to consumer products, there are dozens of companies that hire willing participants to take part in research studies to test their products. I know a guy who once got paid $200 to get his head shaved for a company that was testing their medical shears.

75. Become a wedding officiant
In most states, it’s pretty easy to become a wedding officiant, and after you’re licensed, you can use your new found skill to earn some extra money in your spare time.

How fun would it be to take part helping people unite their lives together forever?

76. Rent ad space on your car
Ever see those cars and trucks driving around your city with ads plastered all over them? That’s passive income, my friends. A company like Carvertise will place ads on your car, and then you go about your daily driving business, all the while earning money at the same time.

77. Referee or umpire kids’ sports games
In my area, people get paid as much as $30 an hour to umpire the kids’ sports games. That’s some serious side cash. Contact your local recreation associations to learn about available jobs in this area.

78. Be a personal assistant
People often want to hire personal assistants for a variety of reasons. They may need help with daily chores, running errands, or simply may want some company.

A recent Craigslist ad in my area showed a job listing for a personal assistant for a guy recovering from a back injury. He wanted someone to hang out with him as he worked out at home in case he had trouble with his back.

Not bad work for a money-paying gig.

79. Coach a sport
Along with umpiring or refereeing a sport, athletic associations often pay good money for someone willing to coach local sports teams. Check your city’s want ad area for information about coaching community sports.

80. Become a security guard
If you’ve got a tough-looking appearance and some brawn to back it up, a job as a security guard may be worth checking out. Community events of all kinds hire people on a regular basis to be security for their event.

Some of my friends have done security work dozens of times and finds it’s a pretty easy job that’s well worth the money paid.

More Ways to Make Money
Well, you thought I was done. Here are a couple more for you before you go.

81. Become a human billboard
Ever see those people standing on corners, wearing sandwich boards and eagerly encouraging you to stop in at said business? Yeah, they get paid. If you’re not shy and are good at getting the attention of others, apply to be a human billboard.
This can be a great way to earn more money and have fun at the same time.

82. Retail arbitrage
Did you know that you can go to a retail outlet to buy things low and sell them for a higher price? This is a process known as retail arbitrage.

I have personally done this. I would go to a store that had a bunch of video games on clearance, then turn around to sell them online at a higher price. You want to be careful with this because the last thing you want is a bunch of copies of video games that you don’t play.

As you can see, there are many ways to earn some extra cash to fund whatever goal you’d like to reach, whether it is a trip to Australia or an early retirement.

Can you think of any ways to make more money that are not listed here? Let me know in the comments below!

RE: [GET] 80 Great Ways to Make More Money in 2018
All that seems like too much hard work to me... :-)

I work with offline businesses doing email and direct mail marketing (along with some other things).
I spend maybe 15 - 20 mins editing an email sequence, load it into the autoresponder, then bugger off with wifey doing things we enjoy. Meanwhile the autoresponder and business staff does all the work and I receive a percentage of each sale.
The other day we went out for a very enjoyable day and I made over 50k while we were out... :-)

That's great Animal88. But not everyone has your knowledge, skills or talent to do what you do. Some people need more simple ideas since they probably wouldn't even know what an autoresponder is. These are the people a smart marketer can offer these gold nuggets to.

Have a look for Bob Serling's Million Dollar Licensing course. gives a decent overview and will get you started. It's on here...

Follow up with his Million Dollar Joint Venture course, or a later version 95/5 Million Dollar Joint Ventures. Very similar concept and you can mix and match.

I'd start with the Licensing course.
