Hey Brian,

It may be that GIMP is overally complicated and folks are moving to free solutions like Pixlr or cheap like Affinity. Just a thought...

I think Canva may have overtaken GIMP in popularity as a free alternative to Photoshop. There are tons of Photoshop courses on Udemy, so it remains a very popular choice in spite of the large price tag. And it's possible many may have switched from Udemy to other online learning platforms. I know there are a lot of course creators who aren't doing much or accepting new students publicly since the max an instructor can charge for is $50, not to mention Udemy keeping 50% of that.

Thanks for the feedback. Since GIMP represents just 4 of my 21 courses, and my most popular courses, I think the answer might lie somewhere other than the GIMP's declining popularity. Thanks for trying though.

I think Udemy is just generally s****** these days.

Firstly, I thank you for extending your courses here for us. I've signed up for a few and I like your approach.
Secondly, have you considered the competition eating into your pie? Just my thought that since Udemy/the web/Youtube allows anyone to access information, would it have impacted your bottomline?
Thirdly, people are becoming a lot impatient these days. Since Gamification has taken over the learning industry, people expect applications like Duolingo which incorporates games into learning.
