I might understand your statement about hosting and service as I have run into these sorts before, but how would it not be an advantage to buy a $.99 domain through them and then move it later, down the road. Just asking...

I agree with you they have crappy service when it comes to hosting, but you dont have to use their servers when setting up a domain name, just point it to your preffered hosts servers!

Yes, saw that, but they are all like that. It is an incentive to draw you in, but you always have the option to move the domain where you want it when it gets close to renewal time...
