Premium account has the ability to customise First Name | Last Name | Username (yourusername@office365.com) | Add recovery email

Recovery email can be any email of yours (gmail, hotmail etc) to receive validation code when you're resetting password.

Standard account doesn't have any of those, only we can reset the password for you. However if you're just using them to activate Microsoft Office licenses, doing backups, standard accounts do just fine.
