Till the time you cant decide start autoblogging atleast there are so many autoblogging pluins available
here on this forum. which can help you make money from amazon ebay and other websites

you can do both actually with the root domain as your tech blog and a sub domain for your forum eg... forum.affiliatestech.com.

and no. don't start an auto blog. never start an auto blog.

don't be stuck on a theme and minor details right now. focus on a blog and the content you want on it first. don't even worry about monetizing it yet. just start posting content to at least get it started. post at least 1 good article a week for a month. during that month, THEN focus on a theme and since you already have content on it, you can then pick a more appropriate theme. don't put off content to work on your theme either. content will be more important and also consistency(posting once or twice a week without excuses)

also if you already have a business plan for the site, you should share it since that will enable us to be more helpful in suggestions.if you don't, i suggest you write one down first before creating the content so you will be more organized. if you don't, you will feel a lot more disorganized and not know what you should be doing and that's when you'll start doing something, finish it, and then second guess yourself and do things over again wasting your time. you need a plan and you need to follow the plan. simple. so first create a plan.

when i first responded i was assuming you had a plan already and then realized you might not....silly me...... a plan will include short, medium, and long term goals and what you need to do to accomplish those goals.

EDIT: btw- abviously your site will need content like any other site. you can start a forum on it which will mostly be user/member created content and it will be a little slower to pick up organic traffic, or you can create a blog which YOU will be creating the content on it and the traffic will pick up faster organically(or at least that should be a goal when creating content). you will be more in control of the blog than the forum as you don't know what other people will be posting in a forum. needless to say, a blog is better to start since you will be more in control of the content and the traffic can potentially pick up quicker. you can always add a forum later.

i don't know what your vision is for a site so it's hard to give suggestions but i personally would start off with creating a blog and growing it until i get traffic. once i have enough traffic, i will funnel it to a forum if you also want a forumand it will compliment the blog and your vision for what you want to create. sometimes though a forum is more appropriate. it just all depends on what you want to do and your vision and what you want to accomplish. your gonna have to have one and a plan or our suggestions aren't gonna mean shit until you get unconfused. we can't give you a vision for you. there is a reason why you bought a domain and a reason why you named it that. that is part of the vision. you need a more detailed vision though bud.
