I uploaded it to my mp3 player and it wouldn't play on that either. Although it says mp3 file, when I try to play it, it says cannot play - the format is not supported.

I see on the image above, it is showing an AA file on your VLC, which would suggest to me that you're playing the file that hasn't yet been converted to mp3?

It is strange.
When I've downloaded files from Audible, I converted them to mp3 format (using Epubor software) otherwise they wouldn't play on any device outside of the Audible platform.

Maybe that's why we can't play them.
Just a thought.

I converted it .aac, btw and works well on both VLC and WMP.
