Imagining that a whole bunch of folks got into this in whatever way they did, then how saturated might this market be by now ??
Just curious as I have looked at this thread and what it leads to before and didn't get bitten by the bug then either...

It's actually nearly 4 years now, we are doing pretty well!

The web agency niche is an ever-green market, which means it will never be saturated.

Simply because there are always new business popping up here and there, no matter big or small which means new demand for different web agency services.(design, development, integration, seo, scale up, revamp... etc.)
And this doesn't even including existing businesses which also need different services from time to time.

Here is what struck me from the Startbucks 'how it works' page before:

What pops right into my mind is the times when a customer backs out...Startbucks get their $99 - which then the middleman is out of - or is there a proviso for this wherein that loss is compensated somehow ??

Sorry to sound skeptical, but after seeing how badly things CAN go in the IM/MMO spaces, I always look for any holes in things that can make a deal go sour too easily.

Generally that could happen in any industry/project.

1. If it's the project quality issue, e.g. we could not complete the requirements, it's not completed in the timeframe... etc, we would provide full refund in that case if client wants to back out.

2. If client wants to back out without any reaons or simply change his mind, in that case, we can provide full refund if work is not carried out yet. If work is already commenced, I'm afriad we can't provide refund, due to the efforts, preparation, analyse, time, work dedicated already.

The difference as it appears to me when one is a middleman is that of having to make a payout and/or just the time spent on a project alone;
Both are losses whereas the payout scenario costs BOTH time and $$.
