Yes yes, correct, but even if 1% would open, it would mean that inbox rate is quite good.

First email after a long time contacting them is likely to get high bounces and complaints. Subsequent sending will be low... Also sending them a generic first email will help will reduce complaints and cleaning your list before sending will reduce bounces.

Just a quick review of Gerald's service.

First he did setup the system just as he said he would.
Getting my sending limit raised in SES took about 7 hours but I suspect that
was because it was on the weekend. Gerald claims this normally takes no longer
than 2 hours.

Next he proceeded to setting up sendy and all needed cpanel functions including
crons/spf/dkim etc.

Then I was sent over 2 pdf docs that dealt with how to setup campaigns etc in sendy
and white label tips.

Overall I would rate him highly on his customer service (hope this remains the same).
All questions were answered and he was kind enough to offer a number of helpful tips
on emailing.

Now the ONLY issue I had with this entire setup is that Gerald does say 100% inboxing but from my testing I could not inbox to hotmail/outlook with my test emails both generic and campaign style emails. He has promised to look into the matter because he does say he is able to get 97-100% inboxing with hotmail.

I will not be adding any images of sent campaigns etc because everything beyond the actual system itself being properly setup by Gerald comes down to my list quality/campaigns etc and have no bearing on the actual service.

EDIT: Its been suggested that folks might not clearly understand my comment on inboxing so let me be clear. Currently I'm able to inbox on everything EXCEPT hotmail/outlook.

Obviously many here would be interested in using this for scraped, bought, etc. lists. This would include myself. Al though I also have one really old genuine list from aweber which I haven't mailed for ages. My question:

Do you get banned by Amazon for using these lists? And if yes, how fast will they ban you in your experience? As you'll get a lot more people hitting the spam button of course. Not to mention the honeypot emails you'll be hitting and so on.

Bounces can be sorted out by using some software for that. So that is the least of my problems.

Looking forward to read your reaction on the above.
