If you are using FTP, set transfer to Binary cr0nus, that was initially my problem and very common for this plugin.
I managed to activate it, however when i post or save anything, i get a blank screen. When i disable this plugin, everything goes back to normal. I have a 3.1.0 version of this plugin that works though, so i got back to that and all is fine... WordPress 3.9.2 WPBakery Visual Composer 4.3.2 |

I uploaded it via the wordpress plugin upload. Just selected the zip and hit go.
After your statement I went and uploaded it manually via ftp with binary mode and I get the same error Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. It doesn't give me any actual error code or anything it just says the fatal error. Idk. I'm using 3.1.0 as well. My web host uses php version 5.3.28 so it shouldn't be a problem. Google searches turn up nothing. Edit file, search: ?> delete line, save file in compress file. And activating the plugin can be done without problems :) |

I removed the <?php include('assets/images/thumbs.png'); ?> or whatever line that was about 1/2 way down on the Ultimate_VC_Addons.php and it almost worked. I started receiving a curl error on plugin activation, so I installed php5-curl on my webserver and it did the trick. This addon does not provide an http api fallback so you'll need curl if you're getting a blank screen. |
