havnt had to do it myself, but imo it would be best if u could export all existing data and customisations and import in a fresh install of 1.7

idk if straight copy and paste overwriting old version would work.

Upgrade V1.6 to V1.7 how?

Not very complicated ...

If you have already integrated all plugins required - on that side nothing to change.

If you have already integrated data samples - that side also nothing to change.

If you have already built your own content, no risk of losing them as stored in your database.

Now to update the theme - what I'm doing me ...

1 - Send the compressed version V1.7 zip FTP mode.
2 - Login to your cpanel
3 - Find the file manager
4 - In the file manager, corresponding to the installation of the theme, remove all old files - and I mean EVERYTHING!
5 - Still in the file manager, unpack the archive version V1.7

That's it.

Normally, your theme should be as it was before the update of the theme.

PS: You do not need to disable and re-enable the theme for all these operations.
