1- Tittles of the page - most important
2- search engine friendly URLs with keywords in it
3- Unique site content

6- validate your site's code with the following

Remember that, its better to limit tittles maximum 60 characters and description to 160 characters

I have just built a wp site which is fully SEO with over 300 plugins and no errors, no html errors no css errors no depreciated calls, all removed.... It has a classifieds, auction, chat etc etc all inter woven and inter linked and loads with all plugins in just over .5 of a second....#

So lets add
keyword density
using bold underline and italics within the content, using and referencing the title within the first 25 words and the last 25 words ohhh sooo much more than meets the eye...
What about keyword concentrations and duplication........ what about max and min title lengths. what about h1 tags, h4, h5 h6 tags, what about snippets.... anon anon

......I haven't read OP, but, I get the feeling your site is not on a Shared host plan and you either have Dedicated Hosting or you have your own server rack. Not everyone has those things...so, you can't really tell someone who might be on a shared or even vps they can use 300 plugins + content + have traffic at once...your site would become unusable.

I also cannot understand why anyone would have 300 plugins, I mean, I can't even fathom having like 25! At most I use maybe 5...
