How long do you support all your software? I had bought some software that the OP stop updating and abandoned it once the sales dried up. Yet they claimed update is lifetime. What do you think?

How long can you support all your software? I bought some software from Warrior Forum over the years and the OP claimed that updating is lifetime. They just abandoned the software once the sales dried up. Do you think you can still support your software long term if no sales come in after few months? Pls advise. Thanks.
