7 Secrets of a $4000 WSO sales copy
If you are about to release your first WSO this will help ensure you get it right the first time. Even if you are a seasoned veteran you will still find a golden “nugget” that will make you more money.

You should know something up-front – I have (purposefully) hidden some gems within the following lines. That's because the “big secrets” need the “smaller” ones to exercise their full power. For this reason pay careful attention and the big ones will “jump” right at ya [Image: wink.gif]

One thing you can be sure of is that, every successful WSO contains one or more of the following components. In other words, if you don't apply these strategies, your WSO may fall flat on it's face – and you'll not make any money.

The strategies were gathered after my WSO (which is closed by the way) grossed over $4000 dollars in sales. Here is how you can benefit from this success.

Here are you golden nuggets:

1. “Working backwards pays...”
The first strategy is crucial because it allows to know upfront, how likely your WSO is to make you money.

Write a draft of your sales copy before you create your product. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. A simple headline and bullet points with the most important features/benefits will do.

If you realize the features are not that appealing, you immediately know you may not make a lot of sales. Regardless, you absolutely must go to step 2:

2. “You make more when you hear it from the horse's mouth...”

Your next step is to determine exactly what Warriors want to give you money for.

There are several ways to do it and here are the best ones:

a) Find other WSO targeted to people who are your most likely to buy your product. Read the sales copy, and more importantly, ALL the comments. As you do it, make notes. Of course, there may be already similar products so those threads are a gold mine.

Try to figure out what they liked, and didn't like. See if you can come up with something better, more useful. Also once you see what people didn't like you can avoid costly mistakes. Don't skip this step!

b) Subscribe to WSOPro Affiliate program. It's a measly $4 bucks a month and it shows you how well WSOs are selling for, conversion rates etc. This is key knowledge that can make or break your WSO – at a give away price.

c) Buy a couple of WSOs related to your market – the goal here is not to steal ideas, but to create way more value than any of the products you buy. Which brings us to the third step...

3. “There is money in...”
...doing what others won't do. If you can find this, you are almost guaranteed to have a winner.

Here it is: find out what is the single most important thing that WSO buyers want, but is difficult to obtain.

For instance, I knew that there was a certain piece of code most programmers were baffled by. There was NOTHING on it anywhere on the net. Since I discovered Warriors wanted that solution (and I was already working on it, for my own company) I made sure I got it developed. Well, the sales figures confirmed my belief. However...

4. “A WSO is meant to be a WSO”
If you miss this, you miss the point. After reading the above point you may say “What? All this effort for WSO?” And the answer is “NO!”.

If you create a great product, you can sell it to a wider audience, at a higher price (and make more money). So as it was originally intended, you can now provide Warriors with your "real world" product at a lower price. And what you get is...

… capital to promote the product on a wider scale. Your successful WSO will give you the budget to take that product to another level.

This is important because it will force you to write better sales copy, and create a product that can become a true asset. OK, on to the next one...

5. “Fundamentals still make you money...”
All the standard sales copy elements apply – especially TESTIMONIALS, bonuses, scarcity and your guarantee(s). You also want to create long term relationships so you should be aware of this psychological factor – people like to get things in “bulk”.

So even though your WSO should be no fluff, include as many elements as possible (video, audio, bonus reports etc.) . This will make your offer more attractive on your sales page. Your buyers will also get a warm feeling of satisfaction – which can only be a good thing for your bank account balance.

Speaking of which...

6. “At some point your money will come from a different place...”
Here is what many people don't realize: as time goes on, your sales copy becomes less and less relevant. This is a big one!

This is what will happen:
- the way you respond to comments,
- the kind of comments that are being made,
- as well as the number of comments your WSO gets

will become a predominant factor in the buying decision. This means that your sales copy needs to satisfy the early adopters, and then justify the purchase for those who buy later.

You need to imagine this...

7. “The path to your money...”

You will get better results if you journey through the process in your mind. This should go through your mind, throughout the writing, as well as the product creation process:

- The Warrior opens your thread
- Reads the headline and a couple of lines
- If still interested, scrolls to find out what people are saying (NOTE: at this point your reader is looking for a reason NOT to buy (another big one!) ). Why is that?

It's because you have captivated them enough to realise they are about to part with their money. Not a pleasant thought, regardless of the value you offer.

So they read the comments (and your responses, ) look whether there is a guarantee etc.
- If there are no comments – your guarantee, low entry price, scarcity, the “bulk” of value, and of course the promised (and expected) results will push (or not) the person to buy.

All this happens very quickly so make sure your copy gets them there as smoothly as possible.

There you have it. Combine these with your regular copywriting techniques. You should also apply this in your regular writing - that's one way to ensure your copy stays relevant.

BONUS TIP:

A lot of your sales will come through affiliates. So make sure that your copy converts, and that they can confidently promote your products.
