Me, You and My Failed Omelette

Yesterday, I finally put my $100 non-stick frying pan to work.

I decided to make myself an omelette after learning from the chef in an hotel and watching a few Youtube videos.

With all that knowledge, the omelette was supposed to come out perfect. Right?

Well, it didn't go as planned.

On a scale of 1 to 20, I will say the omelette scored 8/20.

This omelette thingy reminds me of an important success lesson I normally tell people.

You can read all the books in the world about something, watch all the videos, have a one on one with all the experts.

What counts is when you finally take action and do that thing.

And when you take that action, your first attempt is most likely going to be woeful.

And maybe your second and third attempts too.

And this is exactly when many people quit.

"Dotman, I have tried this your strategy, it is not working for me...yen...yen...yen"

So, they jump on to something else thinking it will be easier.

But then, nature has a way of not opening its doors to you until you have learnt your lesson and paid your price.

I don't know what you are trying to do at the moment.

Maybe you are trying to start a new business.

Or launch a marketing campaign.

Or even have a good kiss.

Your first few attempts will most likely be woeful.

My message for you today is that you shouldn't give up like losers do.

Instead, learn more.

Correct your mistakes.

And get back to it.
