I will be implementing proxy scraping/checking for v1.3.0. Unfortunately things have been delayed for more than I had intended but I am hoping to get a first release out soon.

Sorry I'm not 100% sure I understand your question, all license keys are delivered within 24 hours(usually within 3-12) and are valid for life. Up to 3 separate activations can be done per license, allowing for usage on up to 3 computers.

Just saw your email to Cruvenium support before this and have replied back to you there, everything should be all sorted.

Dillon,

Is this bot supposed to work on M$ windoZe XP? I run XP in a virtual machine, and your bot doesn't work. However, on Win7 (again in a virtual machine), it does work right out of the box. I'd prefer XP IMHO, because Win7 sucks even more.

Also, any idea when the next release is coming? :D

Thanks...

Hey SubZero, I must apologize for taking so long to respond to you here. There definitely should no problem running any of my software on Windows XP, would you mind sending me any error messages or screenshots, etc you could get of the issues you're facing? Will get on that ASAP.

TrafficDemon v1.3.0 Update

I just wanted to also update everyone to let them know that although there has been significant delays, the development of v1.3.0 has continued and is coming along very well. The new GUI is fully implemented, loading/saving of projects, proxy scraping, proxy checking, pausing campaigns, more control over amount of traffic, new referrer options and much more is in progress.

Hi Dillon,

it's nice to know that you're still alive Smile

TrafficDemon has a simple behaviour on my XP machine : It starts, but the windows remains blank. All I see is the menu (File - Edit - Help) and I can also access the button "RUN", although clicking on it is completely useless. The title bar of the software says : "Loading...." indefinitely.
I can post a screenshot, only if you still need it ;)
The machine is WinXP SP3, with 1GB Ram. Enough ram?
I have M$ .NET Framework 1, 2, 3, 3.5, and 4 installed.

When I run the bot on my Win7 machine, I'm getting somewhere between 98% or 100% Bounce Rate in my stats. Is this normal? Are there anyone here achieving better results (Lower Bounce Rate) with this bot? I guess I do something wrong.

So, I tried those settings, just to be sure to avoid BR :
  • VIEW TIME : 60 - 240 sec
  • LOAD IMAGES : yes
  • LOAD JS : yes
  • Browse Internal Pages : yes
  • Total Pages to View : 1 - 3
  • View time (internal pages) : 90 - 340
Still, I'm getting very high BR :(

Thanks for your help...

RE:
Thank you for all of the information :)

I have compiled a new version of the current v1.2.6 and uploaded it to Cruvenium. Would you mind downloading and trying this out on your Windows XP machine? I believe this will resolve the issue you mentioned but if not just let me know.

Were you using v1.2.6 on your Windows 7 machine? If not, this should likely resolve the bounce rate issue too.

Hey Dillon, thanks for the update. It now runs on my WinXP machine!

However, I still have the same problem with the Bounce Rate : I can't get anything else than 100% BR.
Here are my settings for this time :
  • VIEW TIME : 70 - 260 sec
  • LOAD IMAGES : yes
  • LOAD JS : yes
  • Browse Internal Pages : yes
  • Total Pages to View : 1 - 2
  • View time (internal pages) : 70 - 120
According to my web stats, it seems like the "Average time per visit" is stuck at 10s. Is it because the bot isn't able to "keep the connection open"?

Great to hear it's now working with Windows XP.

I would try lowering the view time and increase the internal page viewing to say 1-4. Depending on your specific needs I would recommend a view time of around 14-84 and then 23-143 for internal pages. Again though, this is just a general recommendation based on your view times being quite long already. You may need those longer times. I have had customers as recent as this week let me know of effectively lowering their bounce rate so there certainly shouldn't be any issues in doing this with v1.2.6.
