Do I use Audrino, or something else?
I have an idea for developing an interface and functionality for a multi-camera dashcam (I have problems w/ every dash cam model I see out there) with display and interface controls - might possibly put in Bluetooth as well... but I have no idea where to begin.

Has anyone made anything similar (not necessarily a dash cam - but a programmed interface to some device you built)?

What programming language or platform would you recommend I start learning to see if this is even feasible? I have a full-time job and a lengthy commute, so my 'free' time is valuable and I don't want to over-involve myself in learning something that I will never use and it may be a dead-end.

My goal, if I am successful, is to build a prototype of something that might be able to be mass-produced - but all I have is the idea and I have no idea where to begin.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Admonitions?
