when installed it says v 2.1.2 yet it also says update available but there are none after 2.1.2...??

does anyone know where to get the xml data file from to setup as per demo's

in fact i think its far lower version as many items are not in there from v2.1 including the back to top button so much be much earlier........

does anyone have the GENUINE v2.1.2 ???

In fact, this IS the GENUINE v. 2.1.2 You have to enable the side navigation buttons on a per-page basis (It's in the "ET Settings" box at the top-right corner when editing a page).

Don't know why it's saying update available. And what data exactly is it you are looking for?? Do you mean the page templates? If so, click on "Load Layout" above the page builder ( remember to click on "Use Page Builder" if it isn't already enabled ), and you will find some pre-made layouts there. Anyway, to enable back to top button, just go to Divi Theme Options>General Settings, and just enable it near the bottom of that section. And to enable the side navigation, you just need to set the ET Settings button to ON. If you can't see the ET Settings box on your Edit Page/Post pages, click on Screen Options at the top of the page, and just check the box to enable it. It will appear either in the right side bar, or underneath the page builder.
