how to use xml or sitemap to view blocked webpage info

Hopefully someone could give me some info on this. I'd appreciate any information I can get.

I remember somewhat recently, I came across a page in this forum that I can no longer access for whatever reason. (http://bestblackhatforum.com/Thread-GET-...e-for-free)

I took down some of the info such as how to access certain wordpress uploads (wp-content/uploads)
I came across the index page recently (the one that lists the parent directory and breaks down into categories) but it opened up as a bunch of xml codes and I have absolutely no idea how to make sense of them.

someone on the post took info from an xml page and turned it into links, but they were different from the incomplete links that were on the page. I believe it was a page on mysilentteam.com . I tried converting the xml to html (which I DO know how to make sense of) but this page in particular wont convert.
Also, I noticed a lot of the file names on there show the files it came from on his computer... I don't know if those post to the web or not?
Sorry, I'm incredibly ignorant when it comes to this sort of stuff, but I can be a pretty fast learner. I'm eager to know for future reference so I can make sense of other pages.
