[GET]Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything[GET]
The blockbuster phenomenon that charts an amazing journey of the mind while revolutionizing our concept of memory
An instant bestseller that is poised to become a classic, Moonwalking with Einstein recounts Joshua Foer's yearlong quest to improve his memory under the tutelage of top "mental athletes." He draws on cutting-edge research, a surprising cultural history of remembering, and venerable tricks of the mentalist's trade to transform our understanding of human memory. From the United States Memory Championship to deep within the author's own mind, this is an electrifying work of journalism that reminds us that, in every way that matters, we are the sum of our memories. RE:
Thanks for the attempt to share.
But the download only has the first 23 pages of the book, nothing more. -------------------------------------------- This is a great book. One that most of the online community should read. It is about how any of us can become memory "prodigies" with an hour of work/struggle a day. Foer explains the history of memory training (a HUGE thing for 1,500 years since the printed page either didn't exist or was incredibly expensive) and how the old methods are largely still the "new" methods the memory championship winners are still using. Foer actually became the US memory champ the year after writing a story on it - with 10 months of training. He tells his story and the strikingly colorful characters who inhabit the memory champion world. Great methods are revealed for remembering the impossible-to-crack 98 convoluted-character password to store your life in the cloud. RE:
This looked good as it not some internet technique but something
which we can put our time into which will last a lifetime, so I had to see if I could find it. I know people who take the time to look at this will have a better direction towards improvement what is referred as , "The memory is a poor slave". |
