From a "Will it make a difference in the long run point of view?"

Got to agree with Cyber on some [not all :-)] points, it WILL slow the growth down of signups... how many and over what period of time... only ADMIN can see :-)

However, if the "whole" browsing experience is faster, stronger, better [sounds like the six million dollar man!] for all, it will help keep the flow.

As for "uploads" / "finds" / "fixes" by peeps not in VIP, think that there will be a *LOT* more download link sharing and multiple bot scrape reposts... now how can that be stopped... with an open forum thread, I guess it cannot... other forums [not in this marketplace] have tried and the hacks / thank scripts all slow them down..

HOWEVER...

The BBHF fixer, can slow the share / repost down and pack the files in a way that the WHOLE post has to be read.. EG: put the instruction in a PW protected zip and give it a per upload password OR put the "goodies" in a separate PDF so that the downloader HAS to do something to get to the files or fix..

ONLY ideas, but sure everyone gets the drift :-)

Maybe a "Mini BSO" forum that is not VIP but you have to have a certain amount of posts to see it and there is a VERY SMALL charge to get at the goodies ???
