Moments ago, I received a request for help with direct sales. That's not an area I have experience with but I tried to help by directing the requestor to some books on Library Genesis I thought were useful.

A little while later, I found a few different books and thought I'd post everything here for anyone who wanted them.

Since direct sales can include anything from door-to-door salesmanship to business-to-business (or B2B) sales such as pharmaceutical marketing and party plan sales like Mary Kay cosmetics, I realized just how massive this category is.

I came up with a small collection of books specifically on building a thriving direct sales business, with emphasis on multi-level/network marketing. I then threw in a Dan Kennedy classic on direct marketing for good measure.

Over on Amazon, I also found a couple of books by an author named Jamil Frazier. I suggest you go over there to read more about him. This guy went from poor and unfulfilled in both his personal and professional life and in toxic relationships to turning his life around, taking control of his destiny and having everything he wanted. He claims it was all due to direct sales. So I'm tossing in those books, as well, because they could be just the inspiration someone here needs to keep on keeping on.

@lynch: Thank you for leaning on that +REP button for me. Yes, direct selling can be quite challenging. I remember my dad being a door-to-door salesman when I was a kid; he was a natural-born "people person" who could talk a blue streak, so he was fairly successful because he first warmed his prospect up with small talk to put them at ease before he began to show and tell them of the benefits they would enjoy from having whatever it was he was selling at the time. Usually, it was a set of encyclopedias, a 365-day bible study collection or some other product.

So I went back to that memory when I got a request for direct sales books. I wanted to pick a swath of titles to include something of value for just about anyone involved in direct sales and your kind reps have inspired me to think about doing a Part II in the near future... so stay tuned.
