Welcome to Becoming an Engaged Reader! My name is Cyndi, and I am so excited to share what I've worked on for several years with you if you want to start a new journey of effective reading!

Nowadays, both English language learners and native speakers unintentionally undervalue the impact of effective reading. Grammar, sentence structure, mechanics, and writing are all important skills for young people to learn when they are learning English. Learning a language is not about learning the skills first and then starting to read; it is about gradually improving our reading skills through a lot of meaningful and real-life reading. Native speakers, on the other hand, can quickly sort through a lot of information to find what they need, what interests them, or what fits with what they already know or how they see the world. They neglect to seek out what they are unfamiliar with and attempt to understand concepts that diverge from their original philosophy. This course is for young people (13+) who want to read more, improve their English language skills, and gain a deeper, more varied understanding of the world.
