Personally, for my strategy, Ichimoku serves very well. I am a fan of the book ' How to make money trading the Ichimoku System ' by Balkrishna M. Sadekar . I have seen many people like Japanese Forex Trader Kei who use Ichimoku successfully as their main strategy .

That said, I also came across a post titled ' Ichimoku Cloud: 600 Years of Data Says Avoid this Indicator ' by Barry Moore .

So if you find the Ichimoku system does not fit into your own strategy, you may not be alone !

I had high hopes for this indicator. 6% a year is just too low, the S&P index is like 10 percent.
