Layna61524, thank you so much for all of your suggestions and "hack" information! I downloaded UBlock Origin a few years ago, based on a recommendation you made in a thread. I will probably stumble upon the suggested software when I am not looking for it.

I will come back here and let you know how successful I am at getting the text editor to work. You have provided excellent instructions, as usual. I am sure I won't have a problem. +5 reps added.

@All: Thanks for the kind posts.

It looks now as if my posts have been changed; my signature block contains some kind of flash banner ad instead of my usual purple Layna graphic. I noticed that same banner ad appears in discomix's post.

Has anyone seen a post by the administrators here telling us what's going on? I know they are working hard behind-the-scenes to restore the forum and things are working much better today than they have been; but there are still some weird behaviors when posting and I'd like to know how safe we are.

I just enabled the signature block graphic to show and that seemed to work but in my previous posts, that strange ad still shows but it isn't animated. Why are ads in some people's posts and not in others?
