@monsur: I'm going to try and answer your question because I'm just now seeing the post and at least 2 other people have sent me a PM asking a similar question about uploading a set of templates I shared in separate posts to sell as their own.

This is an over-arching answer so, in general, NO, you should not upload anything to Amazon for sale that you didn't create unless the product comes with a very clear re-sell rights license. If the product (or templates) you are referring to are not marked as either private label rights, master resell rights (PLR or MRR) or other resale designation, you can get into legal hot water on the one hand and/or become horribly embarrassed as a merchant on the other.

Whether it's something you buy or download for free from BBHF, uploading them (as they are with no changes) to your own website or Amazon to sell creates a flood of very similar to identical items being sold at all different price points. That can confuse (and piss off) a lot of customers when they learn about it. And in the end it won't bode well for the seller. You will get nasty complaints or bad reviews.

Amazon doesn't tolerate duplicate sales and they will permanently ban accounts that violate that policy.

You could also get into legal trouble with the rightful owner of the product because even if it comes with resell rights, you may still be violating some of the terms of the license based on the manner you are selling them.

If a product comes with resell rights, be sure to read the terms and conditions that cover what you are allowed (or not allowed) to do.

If a product is not a resale product, simply put, you cannot sell it as your own.

So, the answer is: NO. Never --- ever --- do that.

Now, what you SHOULD do (and I don't know how many times I have written it before now) is to use the product as visual inspiration for making a new product of your own. Change things up to create something uniquely your own to sell.

Anything short of this is what I'll playfully call product plagiarism.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks
for reading!

Hi monsur, can I just pick up on what the queen of BBHF layna61524 said... You don't need to make major changes, simple subtle changes, like change the font, change some of the wording, change the background styles, if it does not have one add one, change the graphics, just make it UNIQUE, make it DIFFERENT make it QUIRKY... Don't just be like all the others that have just uploaded and hope it will attract a buyer.
Good luck on your POD journey
