To answer that simply, its a service that amazon has to hold you data. Sometimes called an s3 bucket, more info here:

but a simple go0gle will show you heaps of stuff. By default, theres no security on your bucket. Sometimes its fun to just guess a bucket name from these big gurus because their can only be one version of a bucket name, amazon suggest, that you choose your sitename.subfolders so that you can mirror your site links, and download pages easily and uniquely. But there's many ways to lock up the content. [hide]Any way you can just insert the names listed above into the gap in this url and test it http:// (gap remove spaces) .s3.amazonaws.com/ you will see an xml file, generally the long way is to copy the text that's in between the key tags, and paste that onto the url, so example would be
hxxp:// test.s3.amazon.com/test.zip but that takes for ever, [/hide]there is a quick way and thats to download an s3 ripper here ive created a mirror of the one i use truely awesome, tributes go out to the anonymous author.
