Looking For Partners – Remote Tech Support - Serious Only
I have been providing IT services since 1999, and freelance IT remote services since 2014. I am looking for partners here on BBHF to sell my services.
Looking for experienced marketers in both online and offline to sell my services as your own. I do all the work, where you are able to market the service as your own. With the recent changes in the world, more people are looking for this type of service with a higher demand than in the past. The services I provide: Home computer support: Software Installations Software training and support Windows optimization and upgrades Printer installation and support Cloud Backup File and printer sharing configurations Maintenance and clean up Home router configuration and support Virus Protection/Firewall protection/Spyware Removal Virus Removal and repair (future proofing included) Firewall configurations Privacy and Security Analysis Spyware removal Business Office support Wireless/Wired/Router network configuration Windows Server configuration SQL database support CRM Support/Remote Management (such as SugarCRM standard/self hosted/enterprise) Misc. Profitability: I have a specific monthly or hourly price bracket. It is very low and you are easily able to effectively sell above my price as well as stay either competitive or low ball every other similar service. Scalability: If your customer base starts to meet my limit (I am able to handle up to 500 customers monthly due to license limitations, however, in reality, I can concurrently handle 8 communications offices with a combined 1200 computers and their users/on site servers), I do have a trusted team I can contract and manage. Future Expansion Possibilities: Contract locally with technicians for exclusive jobs where "on site" physical problems occur based on an hourly rate. Per job basis booked by hours available.

Maybe one advice... If youre looking for serious partners in biz.... your profile pic of some one that is snorting coke - speed or what ever... may not be the right choice for people to take you seriously as a biz partner.

Hehe I should change that, I've had it forever. But he's not snorting coke. The joke was that he was addicted to Cheetos such as he goes insane for Cheetos in the commercials.

I had not seen this post at all the first few times I looked at the thread, it just appeared right now. Weird since it is the second post. Of course I can chalk that up to using both mobile and simply not paying enough attention right after the first long post. I speak fluent English. Zero accent. I am from Nicaragua but I grew up in the USA. I am located in Nicaragua.

no problem. so you have about 20 years experience in this area. but are you doing the work yourself or are you outsourcing this? with your experience you would probably already have a customer base i would assume and you were talking about scalability so wondering if scaling is what you are trying to do right now by outsourcing the work. if so, would language be a barrier.
have to admit, i do know a little bit in this space but it's not my area of expertise. i do have friends in this space however. i know it's a pretty good industry and pay is decent(not too sure about remote though). i was to trying to see how i would be be able to promote this in the u.s. and even partnering with the people i already know. this would obviously also be based on what you charge hourly. i don't think i would be interested in promoting a monthly rate for a business(they would usaully want to contact with someone local). i think it would be better to offer emergency tech support services for an hourly rate. I don't outsource because of two reasons. First, and this may sound kind of R*******, but there isn't any real way to know what kind of knowledge a person has and if it's going to cost more to have an inexperienced person working than it is to just do it yourself. The second is that most people really dislike having to explain themselves to people multiple times because of language barriers. The last company I worked for had a customer technical support department and I was, for some reason, not only responsible for the 5 branches of the company and everything IT, but also this customer support department with English as their second language. More often than not I had more issues with this department than all of the employees and my actual team in the rest of the company. I don't actually have a customer base as I usually work for someone else's company. I have been involved with both remote IT management for companies, and remote IT for their customers. For example. I have worked for a geeks type of company. They have regular standard folks as their clients. I would pick up the next client in queue, remote in and fix their issue. Another example was working for one or more computer retailers. Whenever a customer would purchase a computer or laptop, or other device, the company would contact me and I would connect with the customer for their new device orientation and installation. The point here is that whether working as a freelancer or for companies, the clients were their own. I do work with other companies at the moment (I can't just jump out there without an income) but on a freelance/independent contracting basis. I hadn't actually moved forward with an idea like this one until now. My hourly rate is low due to my current needs. The average going rate for hourly emergency remote service is around 7 x what I charge. Regarding scaling, I know that I have limitations especially in hardware. I have some experience with contracting local techs in any given area and sending them to fix hardware issues that I cannot physically be there to take care of. The problem is that the cost of those hours are much higher and out of my own control. Although "geeks" companies are known to charge anywhere from $70 to $99 an hour for the tech to come out, they only pay the tech themselves around $15 an hour. So the company robs the customer blind. I think when I think about scaling I want to think of not only having a consistent income of clientele, but also covering all bases without out of pocket costs that are not necessary.
