The 3 hour long class will show you, with your knowledge of the human form, how to animate a ballerina and a specific part of her dance through the use of the three fundamental drawings of animation: the key drawing, the extreme drawings, and finally breakdown drawings. During the span of this class you will understand about the importance of the animation arc to guide our character’s movements, the use of timing and spacing to give our character a sense of varied movement, the nuances of the human body, and flipping through our drawings to see our character come to life before our very own eyes. Throughout this specific class and the project you will be undertaking here, you will learn what it takes to animate a character capable of complex movement and time through the principles of drawing, illustration, and animation. This will include drawings of the ballerina from various poses that range from the subtle to the dynamic as her speed varies throughout her dance.
