Your post moved me, Layna61524, because about 50% of my family live in New Orleans and they faced similar circumstances during Hurricane Katrina - August 23 - 31, 2005. Thankfully, most of them heeded the warnings... left the area, traveled to higher ground and got out of harms way. But quite a few of them decided to stay and "ride it out", like they had successfully done many times before. Much to our dismay, this was a more devastating hurricane and it left massive amounts of destruction and a lot of fatalities.

Being of service in an ethical way should always be the driving force and motivation. WorldWarrior really hit the nail on the head and expressed my sentiments in regards to this issue and how we should approach disasters of all kind.

I see 3 obvious ways to make money on coronavirus

1.Selling info products

2.Selling physical products

3.Selling services to be delivered online.

And none of it has nothing to do with taking advantage of people who are suffering.

Well, corona virus is an evil wind right now. Maybe, GetStuffDone merely wanted to stimulate a discussion businesswise but news around the continents about Covid-19 is just stunning. It's no surprise, at all, that selling stuff to people scared stiff, suffering, losing loved ones, etc. would misconstrue as being opportunistic - in a bad way.

Perhaps a lesson in focus. Rather than seeking to profit, consider how can we help more?

You'll often find it works out the same.

The more you help people, the more you get back.

Reciprocity, karma and all that...

There are plenty of opportunities to support others and in return be supported.

How can you help someone survive better, cope better, ease their concerns better?

They will be grateful and happy to pay if you genuinely help them rather than take advantage of them.

There will be a huge transfer of wealth in the stock market soon. I personally am sitting and waiting to dump money in once the bottom is formed then will ride the gravy train back up~ :)
looking for bargain prices for hotel industry, oil, possible casinos in vegas, you know the titans who lost share prices in housing crisis and bounced back.
As an example;
I bought MGM Grand in 09 for $7.50 / share and sold in 2017 for $31

This is NOT a recomendation only an example, do your own homework as MGM Grand may not be able to recover and declare bankruptcy this time!!!

Opportunity is out there you just need to find it.
How about offering a grocery shopping service for those who are home bound in your own community? that could turn into quite a business once this has passed.

I bought MGM Grand in 2009 for $7.50 / share and sold in 2017 for $31 more than trippled my $ and I see MGM is at $9 now lets see if she goes lower yet as this crisis has just started but once a vaccine is found that'll be close to the bottom so be diligent and do your homework as they may have to declare bankruptcy from this shutdown.

Because the current title "How to make money on coronavirus" seems to imply taking advantage of others.

I believe he is saying how best we as internet marketers can make money during this crisis.

To make money by taking advantage of others misery, like layna61524 mentioned about the person hoarding and profitering from exorbitant price for Hand sanitizer, then that is wrong morally and humanistic speaking.

However, don't forget pharmacy companies are making good profits and no one condemn them rather than being thankful for them for making available masks and sanitizers.

But to buy from a phaarmacy and then re-selling for huge profit during this time of tremendous shortage, THAT IS DEFINITELY SO WRONG.

And looking at GetStuffDone post that is not what he meant.

GetStuffDone is raising a very valid question for discussion.

Would like to share some thoughts.
Right now, more and more countries have total shutdown.
And even in United States more and more states are on lock down.
Italy's death rate has now far exceeded the death in China.

The economy comes to a stand still.
And many are losing their jobs.

OPTION 1
And for those employees who lost their job, or have to have pay cut or prolonged unpaid leave, would would they be looking for?

And at same time, looking for new job is out of the question, because they are on lock down. They would be looking to find out "How To Make Money Online"

So, if we have the solution to help them to make money online, we can charge them a service to start their online money making.

For instance, outsourcing.
Many have their own skills.

So if you have a platform for which they can sell their service, this would be one avenue.

Another is if you have platform like Ali Baba, they can start their own ecommece biz.


OPTION 2
Businesses are suffering heavy loses due to lack of customers.
So if you can provide them a solution or service to get more clients, this would help them.

English is not my native language and after years of studying it i still dont feel that using Make money on sth implies taking advantage of people. Heck, Italian Brands are even launching new clothes with masks.

Yes, businesses suffer. The question is how to reach them. I made a test emailing for travelling agencies and had no calls. That sucks. Will try a different niche.

But i think it means dont sell anything to people who dont trust you. Build some trust first.
And direct marketers like Doberman Dan, Perry Marshall and Ben Settle are still selling. So i think it's still better to sell.

What strategies to reach the target market do you think can work now?
