If you realize that your product is actually shit and you want to be greedy enough to squeeze a quarter until the eagle screams, then you really don't need to be making products. I can take $500 and invest it in a product, make $1000 off of it and let it be shared all over the place... Why? because it makes my name bigger and my next product could be total shit and I will still make $1000 off of it. The most inspirational speech I have ever seen in IM. You should make a WSO about this :) |

@Creator of Universe
Thanks, and not because I am going to or not going to download it. I say thanks because that's what we are about, sharing and putting a boot in the ass of those who bitch about their stupid product being shared. They should be happy we even noticed their bullshit. I am happy as hell when I see anything on here that I had a hand in. It makes me proud that someone even wanted to download it and see if they could make a dime off of it. That doesn't mean I am going to just stop selling it somewhere on the internet.

Your comment was pure gold. That is exactly how people should think. Make a F****** WSO about it and then make a dime, someone's going to share it and then move on to the next product.

Who do you mean with the speech? I just finished Autoresponder Madness - and marketing definitely IS all about understanding your audience. Seems the programmer here is not able to understand US here. Makes himself foes instead of friends. He should ask himself: -Who would this software benefit most? -Where are these people? -What are these people thinking, feeling etc? -make customer avatars -build marketing specific to each customer avatar -pick prospects up where they linger and educate them on their problem -show how the software solves it -ask clients what new features they would like -develop further and sell upgrades -->this would then be considered a good an sound biz model Selling it as a 'shiny object' on WF is merely a test if ANY inerest in such software exists at all. This is just a BizOpp type model that doesn't last for long. He doesn't even ahve to worry about US here - as we are not his target group! If he does, the software will be short-lived.
