You are completely wrong. In fact all php stuff's can be cracked. To talk about this specific plugin (WPRobor5) you only need one valid license first. After that is child's play to null. You purchased this plugin and that means you already own one valid license. So, I think your friend is not at all "one of the best at cracking software/plugins".

I saw many times developers or peoples with "hidden agenda" interfering here, in this board (or another) trying to discourage peoples from using nulled scripts or plugins. They only scream: "Be aware! It's a virus! Don't use it.". But never will continue with: "You ruin my business". Best idea is ALL THE TIME to obtain both original untouched version of script and nulled one. After that anyone can compare the two versions and easy notice if suspect codes resides inside.

Coming back to this specific plugin, is not enough to defeat license checking. This step can be done even without valid license. You need to inject inside all valid options.
